My new husband I are here on our honeymoon in cozumel so we decided to book a tour through our hotel. Pantera jeep tour was great! We loved Pancho! He drove us around in a Volkswagen bug with a cutoff convertible! Really cool! We really liked the small tour and our guide Pancho was hilarious. The only thing that we were disappointed was the only shopping was a "on the side of the road" shop and we only saw ruins at the lighthouse park. So we felt we were "dooped" again as tourists and didn't get everything we paid for. We loved the tequila tour and the food was good! Everything about the tour was great except missing out on a few things. We always felt we were safe and the ride itself was really good!

My fiancée and I came in our cruise ship and took the Jeep Tour around Cozumel. Carlos was our guide and he was wonderful. We found Carlos to be very personable, very polite and very knowledgeable of his native island. Our favorite part was Punta Sur and the Mayan ruins, the lighthouse and the Croc lagoon. Lunch was delicious (best salsa we ever had!!). Although we did hit some rain, we still made the best of it. They provide you with bottled water and cold beer (Corona, of course!) If you ever go to Cozumel, be sure to take the Jeep Tours and ask for Carlos! What a great vacation! We hope to be back soon.

This was an excellent way to see the island; you feel like you are on your own tour but also have an excellent guide and make several stops. We loved the sightseeing of the ruins, the snorkeling and lunch and loved the tequila tasting - I would recommend this excursion as a must!

We visited Cozumel for spring break with our two sons, ages 16 and 18. We had heard that a guided jeep tour was a good way to see the eastern side of the island so we booked the Pantera jeep tour through Lomas at our hotel. We had a great trip! We were the only 4 people on this day and Jorge was our guide. The first thing Jorge told us was that he was our employee and was there to make sure that the trip was customized according to our interests. He showed all of the features of the jeep and made sure my husband fully understood how to operate it. He drove a separate car and we followed him. We told him we didn't care to take the tequila tour, so we headed right over to San Gervais to view the ruins. After paying our admission fee and supplying maps, Jorge sent us in and said to take our time. We had a relaxing walk and viewed all of the ruins, taking time to read about each site. Before we headed to the east coast, Jorge provided the first of the cold drinks that were sitting in a cooler in his vehicle. He was quick to offer cold water, sodas and beer all day. The next stop was Punta Sur State Park and El Caracol, where Jorge explained some Mayan history and gave a detailed talk about how the building was constructed and pointed out significant details. He was easy to understand and had good knowledge of Mayan culture and the history of the island. We saw a crocodile across the road, and Jorge told us about the environmental interaction of the fresh water and salt water. We went on to the lighthouse, where we visited the museum before spending time on the beach and climbing the lighthouse. Again, we had cold drinks and Jorge encouraged us to relax and enjoy the area. Our final stop was the Columbia reef, where Jorge helped us to get ready to snorkel and then took us on a guided swim. My husband was particularly impressed with Jorge's patience and personal instruction as my husband is not a strong swimmer and had little previous snorkeling experience. We had a wonderful, delicious chicken fajita lunch afterward on a patio with a beautiful view of the ocean and returned to our hotel after a 6 hour tour. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Jorge as guide. It was a great way to spend one of the few precious days we were able to stay in Cozumel.
