“peaceful condo with a garbish belt of seaweed on the beach”

I spent one month (20 nov - 20 dec 2016) in this small apartment situated on the first floor in condo Real Hacienda in Puerto Juarez (Cancun). The neighborhood is very quiet, in the evening there is no much traffic and taxis seldom pass then this property .The apartment consists of one bedroom with matrimonial bed, mosquito net and a big wardrobe, a living room with sofa, table with 4 chairs, TV and DVD-player.There is a small, fully equipped kitchen with electrical appliances (small micro wave and others) and a small bathroom with shower, toilet and sink and bathroom cabinet. Private Wifi, drinking water in barrels, sheets and beach towels are included, as well as one cleaning. There is a shared garden with a small swimming pool and the beach with rocks and without sand is only a few meters away. The beach is covered over the whole length with a pile of 30-50 cm high of smelly seaweed full of insects, plastic and other rubbish . The photographs of the beach, which are present on this site, do not correspond at all with the real situation. I have been talking to almost all people who do live in this condo with 21 apartments and they all said that the beach has never been properly cleaned in the last years. Since a storm, a few years ago, removed 90 % of the sand of the beach, that lost sand has never been replaced and only rocks,a tiny bit of sand and a mountain of rotting seaweed are left over on the beach. Sometimes that seaweed stinks that bad that you don't want to open your balcony door to enjoy the view of the sea you have .I have asked the owner several times to clean up the beach, but there has never been one attempt by the owner, as they claim the municipal should clean it, in the same way they clean the public beaches, but this is a private beach so the beach never gets cleaned. And that is a real pity as 99 % of the condos surrounding this property do have a clean beach without piles of seaweed. Although the sea is very near, almost nobody swims into it, as you first have to pass the stinking seaweed, which sometimes reaches knee height and which causes an awful itch.As a permanent occupant of one of the apartments owns a big dog, the presence of other dogs and pets from tourists, causes a lot of nuisance and unwanted trouble for the other people, but that is not the concern of the owner,as he does not live here. In the garden 2 sunbeds with mattress are provided , but they are very filthy and broken and under the mattresses dozens of insects have found a shelter. There are also a lot of palm trees in the garden but they all carry a lot of coconuts. So you better stay away of them, as sometimes a coconut falls onto the ground and I have witnessed how one coconut which fell down from the tree, missed a sunbathing tourist by an inch. This place is recommended for people who will only stay here a very short while and who do not bother about the piles of seaweed on the beach and the smell of it and who have no intention of ever swimming in the sea .
