The "Sopa de lima" is delightful to the highest degree. We ordered "torta de cochinita" and "tacos de cochinita" ask for double tortilla as the cochinita is very watery but delicious. Yucatan cuisine is a mouthwatering mixture of european and mexican flavors. A little bit of history will explain this strong european influence. The Yucatan peninsula was considered far from the rest of Mexico, poor roads kept the peninsula isolated , so the pollo pibil, panuchos &salbutes, poc chuc, and papadzules, were influenced by Europe, New orleans, and Cuba.
