The "Sopa de lima" is delightful to the highest degree. We ordered "torta de cochinita" and "tacos de cochinita" ask for double tortilla as the cochinita is very watery but delicious. Yucatan cuisine is a mouthwatering mixture of european and mexican flavors. A little bit of history will explain this strong european influence. The Yucatan peninsula was considered far from the rest of Mexico, poor roads kept the peninsula isolated , so the pollo pibil, panuchos &salbutes, poc chuc, and papadzules, were influenced by Europe, New orleans, and Cuba.

The “pan de cazón” is amazing in Mexico City downtown. Nice environment, a very good staff attention, variety of dishes too.

I had many expectations about the place, cause I lived in Merida and south of Mexico many years and I tested excellent restaurants and yucatan dishes but now in Mexico city this restaurant had dishes salty and poor portions so you can try with another. The prices are as in the traditional restaurants in Yucatan but without this special thing that you must go back.

This is a hidden jewel in Downtown. A must for everyone who want to enjoy typical 'Yucatecan' food. The atmosphere is festive and invite to spend a good time with family and friends. The portions are well served and prices are inexpensive. Once a year they celebrate with Customers their anniversary by offering a 50% off in all menu. I recommend to make a reservation to avoid awaiting a long time in line. The beverages are delicious. Parking could be a problem since they have just quite a few parking lots so you can leave your car at public parking and walk a couple of blocks.

Food is awesome but the place is a bit outdated. If you are handicap this is not a place for you. The restaurant is in a 3rd. floor with no elevator.

Nevertheless, the food and service is very good.
