Very beautiful inside and out! Allots of people and hard to take pictures but is worth to visit! You can go to the top by the bells for a small fee and see the city from there. We did not had enough time so we had to skip that. Across the street is the Templo Mayor, another impressive place to visit! Outside allots of street performers if you have time to spare. We very happy we visit!

This cathedral is massive! It is located on one side of the Zocalo, so it is easy to combine a trip to the Palacio Nacional and Templo Mayor. Definitely worth a visit.

There are more beautiful churches in Mexico, but the Metropolitan Cathedral is impressive by it‘s sheer size. You can easily combine it with the other sites around Zócalo such as Templo Major, Palacio National and the Supreme Court of Justice. Do not miss the golden altar behind main altar and the pendula in the middle which measures the buildings‘s movement ober time (it is slanting).

For the years it has withstood including natural disasters the cathedral is a picture of beauty. The architecture coupled by the interior design is something to marvel.

There is a constant flow of people entering and leaving, but that does not take away from its beauty.

A must visit right next to Zocalo square. Cathedral one of the history buildings. Free of charge and nice to stroll inside and visit all the saints.
