Owner description: This neighborhood is the home of the National University of Mexico.

The magnificent buildings in the National Autonomous University of Mexico are hard to admire, as there is no place the park and get closer. The Central Library building was painted by the famous artist Juan O'Gorman, and represents the history and culture of Mexico. However, it is difficult to appreciate this prestigious World Heritage recognized by the UNESCO in 2007.

This building may look painted but is actually done in mosaic. It mixes in the ancient aztec design with modern art. Lovely.

We stopped here while on a trip to Mexico city, we loved the Mosaics and thought it was well worth the stop for some fine pics. 30 mins is long enough to get a look

There is more architecture that you can see in one day here, with work of master architects. This place represents the golden era of Mexico, you should not miss the "espacio escultorico" with works from artists like Mathias Goeritz.
