Glorieta Chapalita is a nice little glorieta, or round about, as one enters Chapalita. You will find several nearby restaurants that vary from casual to a little more formal. Delicious meals.

In the park at the Glorieta you can find on Sundays and sometimes other days, painters and other visual artists selling their original works.

Great healthy snacks, try chinchayote in season, with lime and salt. the real churros, raspados (shaved ice) with natural flavors. Seat in the round about park, walk around and try as many foods as you can. You will wish you would have eaten more, I do overtime !!

We took a short Uber ride to Chapalita because we heard there were lots of outstanding restaurant and bar choices there. We were also told (correctly) that the area is safe for tourists.

Every Sunday local artists sell their wares. From portraits to abstracts to landscapes. Very reasonable prices.

Sunday is the day for this place! Food stands and art all over every street! It's one of those things which you have to do if you're in this city!! Stroll around and try a few different types of foods from the food carts around and just enjoy a good old fashioned Mexican slow walking Sunday afternoon or evening!
