We came down to Playa de los Muertos every day of our 6 day stay in PV. Never made it to the water though. It was the beginning of the Mexican holiday for Holy Week and Easter so it was extremely crowded. We did enjoy all of the food vendors and people watching. Definitely a locals kind of hang out with tourist restaurants lining the beach. All in all, even with the crowds, we enjoyed it.

We stayed a block away from this wonderful beach for one week and loved our time spent on the beach. The entirety of the beach is public with beachfront hotels and condos staking claims for chairs and umbrellas for their guests. The vendors that work the beach are polite and generally not obtrusive, although plentiful. The beach is lively with a varied population during the day. In the evening, the sunsets are among the best anywhere. At night, you can have a quiet stroll lit by the moon or the soft lights spilling from the bars and restaurants that line the beach. The sand is generally clean and soft. The surf is varied but usually fine for wading safely. One afternoon, we were treated to a pair of humpback whales breaching and blowing just off the beach. Very cool. Been to a lot of beaches and really like this one for it's liveliness, beauty , and overall good vibe.

It was a nice at the beach, even though there wasn’t any place to stay or have a nice sun bed, a lot of people were all day around and round!
The restaurants are pretty nice though! And, definitely a light atmosphere and some music is usually going on. I would recommend for group of friends, no couples!

Playa los Muertos is a great beach. It is expansive and you can find whatever you want here. There are many places where it is super crowded, but there are also many places where it is not. There are places to lay down a blanket, and other places to get a drink and sit on a free chair, or rent a chair at a beach club. You can choose what you want. There are restaurants all along the beach and there are many, many, and sometimes too many vendors along the beach. But they are always gracious and if you say, "Gracias, no," they move on. Of course, if you stay on the beach long enough, they come back. The water is generally cold as this is the Pacific but it is swimmable, you have to be careful of the waves. There are parasails, banana boats and jet skis. Most of all, there are good times.

One of our favorite beaches.
Typically busy and generally clean.
This is a great place to catch some rays, ocean fun, a bite to eat or an ice cold beer all while lounging in heaven.
It’s disappointing to see them charging for chairs at some for the bars/ restaurants. We typically drink more beer. Now we just lay out our own towel for free.
It’s also a great area to people watch too!
Enjoy visiting a beautiful beach!
If you find my review helpful please give me thumbs up!
Enjoy!!
