For the 4 years I've been coming to Mazatlan, I've admired Casa 46 from a distance. It's a restaurant that's perched overlooking Plaza Machado in Centro. A beautiful location. I hesitated to go because I thought it must be ridiculously over-priced. BUT I was wrong. At the recommendation of a friend, we ate there recently. The view was lovely as expected, but food was very good and pricing reasonable. The portions aren't large, but I prefer to have a reasonable quantity of food. The quality and flavour combinations are very good.
Now that I know, I'll be sure to return to Casa 46 next Feb. Already looking forward to it.

Beautifully renovated second story of a historic building on the Plazuela Machado. Outside balcony dining as well as inside accommodation in small private rooms. Extensive fascinating collection of Coppel and Kelly photographs over the past 100 years and more. Food was good, service attentive. Enjoyed the whole experience.

Enjoy a remodeled restaurant that was a historical cornerstone. They have their own wine room-pick it out yourself, top notch service.

The steak was really good, almost everyone in our party had the steak. We loved the atmosphere and the staff. Went two nights it was so good. Also we were there on a Saturday evening and the city square was filled with activity which we could watch while dining.

While a precarious climb up the stairs to the restaurant, the view and ambience is incredible. The most expenisve meal we had in Mazstlan (one glass of Champagne to celebrate our anniversary.) My husband had the short ribs, while I opted for wrapped shrimp. Shared a mediocre flan for desert. All rather pretentious.
