The condo was beautiful! The front desk staff was very friendly. Didn't have beach access but the pool and hot tub were wonderful.

“Relaxing and beautiful!”

We really had a good time in this condo. The lady who helped us was very kind. All the workers in the condo were so kind as well. The owners and guest of other condos in the same building were very friendly. Most of them were from Canada. They were very polite and friendly with us.

There is a vendor that comes about three days per week to sell fresh vegetables & fruits and another seller with shrimp. It is really a retreat to even imagine living there, because of the view, the people and the food.

The building does not have a restaurant, but the condo has a beautiful kitchen. We did not cook much, but something for breakfast, coffee and tea. The kitchen has a cute little window that has an amazing view to the ocean.

2 of the bedrooms have a balcony as well as the living room. All with a nice view to the ocean. We had breakfast in the balcony and had the opportunity to enjoy the view and hear to noise of the waves.

The swimming pool and Jacuzzi of the building were so nice. January is a little cold for me, but no for Canadians that enjoyed go swimming in the evenings. I instead went to the Jacuzzi. I had to opportunity to meet some people and have a nice conversation.

We had a rental car that made our stayed easier to go around Mazatlan. There is a parking place in front of the building for owners and guest. It is safe and convenient; however if you do not want to have a rental car, you can use the "pulmonias". They are little taxis that are open. Public transportation is available too, across the street.

We preferred the convenience of the rental car because Mazatlan is such a big place and distances are long. It is hard to go places without a vehicle. Specially in the summer when the weather is so warm, you cannot stay 15 minutes waiting for the bus.

The condo is located almost at the end of the hotel zone. There are more hotels around. About a block or so there is access to go to the beach where you can swim. It is a little more calm than the beach in front of the condo. The waves were more furious there, but beautiful.

I really recommend this condo to everyone and I hope I have to opportunity to return and stay there again.

By the way, the pictures of the condo do not do justice. It is more beautiful and enjoyable in person.

Also the owner was very nice and gave us an amazing and unbeatable rate.

“ELEGANT, COMFORTABLE, CHEERY CONDO- BEST LOCATION”

When you enter this condo on the fifth floor, you are struck by the spaciousness and bright, cheery colours. Being a prairie person, the loud, unceasing waves was a welcome change. The balcony can be accessed from the master bedroom, the living room, or the second bedroom and is very spacious. At this time of year, it did not get any sun so we did not spend much time there. The breakfast nook outside the door is a tranquil spot with a great view for morning coffee. The condo is fully loaded and we missed nothing. The kitchen is gorgeous.
The location on quiet Cerritos beach is fabulous as it is at the beginning of the strip, and it is less then a five minute walk to the El Cid Marina. There you can catch a 30 second little pontoon boat that runs from 0800-1600 to enter the Golden Zone. How convenient is that! No cost, tips welcome.
The restaurant across the street, the Seafarer, was our favorite restaurant in Mazatlan with amazing food, service, music, and ambiance. Sadly, no customers as it is hidden gem and very classy. We also walked the 4 km. down the beach to La Bruja Mexican Restaurant which was always great fun with great food and 2:1 drinks. Watched a surfing competition one Sunday there from our table with ocean view.
There are vendors for shrimp, fruit and vegetables that come on a schedule, and that is posted on the bulletin boards at the condo.
The contact, Lee, is charming and helpful. For example our coffee maker broke down and we swiftly were left with a replacement at our doorstep. Go for a country tour with him also to see the marvelous Mexican historical towns of Copola and Concordia- very reasonable and very entertaining day.
The people in the condo are very friendly. There is aquasizes in the pool three times a week with between 8-21 ladies attending from the area. We used the large hot tub daily and it is so well maintained. The pool is always in the shade which we liked and great for lap swimming.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous and great to walk on. The waves are ferocious and cool so did not go swimming until I went to Stone Island on the 25 peso return boat.
Must do's:
Angela Peralta Theatre- attend anything and enjoy the ambiance
Buy a beer for less then 3 dollars at the Best Western Hotel Freeman, where the whole 9th floor is an open balcony and pool-romantic and amazing views. The four friendly staff work so hard and greet you warmly. It is a safe and secured environment.
