The staff at this hotel were very helpful and gracious. I would recommend giving the team members a break! I felt bad seeing the same staff from 7am until midnight and then again the next morning. They were all very kind and hospitable but made me feel bad for them.
The pool was very nice, would be great if the lounge chairs weren't on muddy/grassy area and instead on concrete.
The breakfast here was delicious! And I tried out the massage one day and it was really one of the best massages I've had- wasn't expecting that!
Room was large and spacious. It did have a bit of wear and tear and the water in the shower didnt drain.
Overall enjoyed the stay in the hotel and mostly because of the great staff!

We love this hotel, great beach and pool area. The staff is friendly and very helpful - we always say we are coming home when we arrive! The hotel is not all-inclusive and we prefer this, so we have dining options other than the hotel. The on-site restaurants are quite good, especially the buffet breakfast.

Camino Real is a beautiful resort. Its is on the quiet side, if you are looking for pool activites or nightly entertainment there is none, but we found it was perfect. We were lucky enough to be able to move here after a nightmare hotel experience. There is no big buffet like other resorts we've been to, but this was never an issue and we found the food great. We upgraded to a swim out room in front of the pool , this was a great location, but honestly i don't think there could be a bad room. I would not hesitate to go back.

Just spent 10 days here and it was amazing! I was worried about a few things after reading reviews, but everything was great. The most exceptional thing is the service. Each and every person there was beyond friendly and went out of their way to make our vacation extra special. They really are the nicest people you could hope for.

I am a sensitive sleeper and found the beds very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are well appointed. They are not plush because the humid climate is not appropriate for that, but with the tile floors and minimal furnishings they feel very clean and calm. The air conditioning worked so well too.

The spa is lovely. We each had several services and all was perfection and very well priced.

The food was very good overall. The breakfast buffet was vast with options for every mood. We also had lunch there every day and half of our dinners. It is not a Michelin starred restaurant and it is not America so one cannot expect the same food. Expect it to be different. Ceviche is amazing there. Quesadillas are delicious and served with guacamole and pico. Lobster was huge and delicious (order steamed not grilled). Shrimp tacos are also delicious. For room service our favorites were club salad, club sandwich, French onion soup, pasta Bolognese, and a great burger.

This place is amazing. Piles of soft, big towels and comfortable chaise everywhere, swimming in the ocean or laying under the tikis watching the waves rolling in, relaxing in the peaceful infinity pool, or playing in the large meandering pool beneath the palm trees, there is something for everyone.

We will be back next year!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at this lovely property, we appreciate the comments from previous visitors regarding the hotel fees, we decided before going that we would just pay the 180 pesos per day just to avoid any surprises at the end of our stay and other than not not being all inclusive we were able to enjoy all other benefits other than food and drinks offered by the resort without any further costs. The room itself was wonderful, comfortable bed, spacious as depicted in the pictures and well equipped. We stopped at the Super Che in La Crucecita before going to our room and recommend going to the room first to see what previous guests have left before going shopping as we bought duplicate items. The staff were amazing, always ready and willing to help with anything you needed and always with a smile. Most of our past travels have been to Cuba and as much as we love it there it was nice to go somewhere where the staff were not asking for a handout, we have found our new home away from home, whether at this resort or just somewhere else in Huatulco. While we were there we did a few excursions and highly recommend Hurricane divers for scuba diving and they also offer a day tour of scuba diving or snorkeling for those that don't scuba dive. This tour requires booking in advance as they prepare a wonderful lunch that requires a fair amount of preparation, Pauline and the rest of the staff are are very attentive and do all they can to make this day special. we also did a 1/2 day of quading and a 1/2 day of white water rafting, both were lots of fun and definitely recommend both. There are too many to mention good places to eat in town which is only a 43 peso cab ride, a couple of our favorites were Mccarthy's Irish Pub beside the supermarket, prices are very reasonable and again, the staff were a lot of fun, another one was Tostados by the main square and if you need your KFC fix, Pollos San Gerardo a few blocks from the main square is a good place to stop, 50 pesos for 2 pieces of fried or grilled chicken with rice and salad, Cafe Dublin, another little Irish pub, just tell the cab driver and they know where it is, they don't open until 6pm and they have wing night on Wednesdays. All in all, this has to be one of the best vacations we have ever had and for the first time we were not ready to get home to our own beds.
