“Cozy Vacation Apartment”

This apartment was located on a very quiet street just a few blocks away from a main street where we could catch a taxi. It was a bit farther to get to the Malecon, a very nice walkway. Several good restaurants were within walking distance. There are parking spaces inside the gate, but we didn't have a car. We felt safe there and the barred gates added to that feeling. There were a lot of keys to use for various locked areas (gate to outside, gate to door, door, backdoor, gate to garbage). They are color coded, so that helped.

The unit was very clean, but the furniture wasn't very comfortable. The couch was lumpy and the beds were very low. We would have preferred one bed with a higher mattress, but we still slept pretty well. The air conditioner was a bit noisy but effective. It was often cool enough with just ceiling fans. We were happy to have access to a washing machine and clothesline just outside the backdoor. There's a charming rooftop area with a barbecue available. We didn't use the barbecue but did enjoy sitting up there and looking out at the great view. Gabriela was very nice and helpful.

More towels would have been appreciated. The kitchen area has a nice full-sized refrigerator, a 2-burner cooktop, and a microwave. The microwave would have been more convenient if it were on or above the counter instead of underneath. I had trouble figuring out how to use it with only Spanish on it, but microwaves are often tricky anyway. We enjoyed our stay. It felt like a home away from home.

“Once again in La Paz”
Reviewed 24 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Our second stay here at Gabriela's apartment. We spent two weeks enjoying the tranquility and comfort of this apartment. Easy walking distance to stores and restaurants, a short drive to banks, shopping and the Malecón. This apartment is a bargain because the owner cleans the apartment every week. Coffee maker, microwave, and usable Wi-fi, we always enjoy our stay here. This location allows the guest to enjoy living in La Paz like a local. The owner has enhanced the security so be ready to memorize key colors and handle multiple gates. Pro-tip: free laundry, check out the dryer in the back of the complex. Comparatively inexpensive. Recommended.

“Great location, reasonable rate, wonderful manager”
Reviewed 28 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We visited La Paz from March thru May, 2016. Gabriela, the manager, was warm and friendly, and the apartment was just as described. Neat, comfortable, with microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, and laundry facilities. The best part about this rental was location. Walking distance to the Malecón, one hundred yards from the bay, excellent restaurants all around. My spouse was recovering from surgery, and the sun, the walks, the natural beauty certainly contributed to her convalescence. Security features are excellent, with gated parking. This part of La Paz is excellent for living among ex-pats and locals alike. El Mangle, a treasure of a park, is just down the road. Definitely would consider booking again when we return in Fall.

“Peace in La Paz”
Reviewed 1 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Gabriela's condo was just right for us. Clean, comfortable, secure, and convenient to town. The bed was a little stiff to my liking, but that just may be my personal preference.

Definitely recommended.

“Perfect for our 2 month stay in La Paz”

Good location, just 7 blocks away from Malecon, on a quiet street, very secure parking, has 2 other gates with keys to get into apartment. Gabriela and Pedro the owner and Manager were in their office on site during the day, and a phone call away when needed. Housekeeping done once a week (cleaning and bedding and towels changed), and washing machine available just outside the apartment with a clothesline to dry your clothes. Good lighting outside, a beautiful landscaped courtyard that was shared by other units (4) in the 4 plex. There were dishes and pots and pans, toaster oven, 2 burner stovetop, full size refrigerater/freezer, coffee pot, iron and ironing board in unit. The only thing I missed was a microwave and a regular stove with oven. We hope to return next year. Thank-you Gabriela and Pedro for a wonderful, homey place to stay.
