Great apartment with bathrooms and wet areas you don't know what to do with! Some of the technology could do with a little updating in the near future and Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but nothing to worry anyone trying to get away from work. There really is nothing available at the condominiums except for the beach bar which provides good quality, local food (i.e. the fish is generally fab), value and service. Everything needs to be brought from across the water (a lovely 10 minute boat ride) which is no real hardship. In fact the best breakfast can be found a 2 minute walk from the La Paz landing stage (Marina Cortez.) Turn right onto the first road out of the Marina and walk 100 metres to Marina La Paz. A small restaurant overlooks the main harbour. Great Mexican breakfast and great entertainment watching elderly hippies trying to get out of rubber dinghies.
The Paraiso site is really well kept and maintained and the pool is the centrepiece. The beach and ocean extend beyond the pool and morning and evening walks are a treat (so I'm told) and exercise can be taken by watching the yoga/keep fit groups each morning as you read your book over coffee and croissants on your balcony overlooking the ocean.
Services were really good. Boat taxi, travel to and from the landing stage, even the health care was a surprise. My heavily pregnant daughter needed her rings cutting off which proved tricky but not beyond the ingenuity, good humour and persistence of the staff (and their dad).
We stayed in February and the weather was perfect for us (high 20's) and there seemed to be under occupancy of the other condos. I imagine it could feel a little less spacious with full occupancy. I understand August and September are uncomfortable with the heat and insects. Car hire is cheap and Todos Santos is about an hour away and worth a visit. There are snorkelling and other trips available from the apartments which you should make the most of (I suppose).

A friend and I recently returned from spending a week at this wonderful condo. We were looking for a relaxing vacation from the hustle and bustle, and boy did we find it here! The condo was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished with a great view of the Sea of Cortez. We each enjoyed having our own large bedroom with attached spacious bathroom. Though we chose not to cook (we were on VACATION!!!!), the kitchen was stocked with nice cooking equipment and dinnerware. Paraiso Del Mar is a friendly community. The water taxi ride to and from the resort was quick and fun...made you feel like you lived on your own private island. We walked on the beach every morning, enjoyed the pool and ate delicious food from the Pool Bar. The entire staff was very attentive and helpful. Within steps of the water taxi drop off in La Paz are many restaurants or you can walk to restaurants along the Malecon. There is much to discover in La Paz. Don’t be afraid to go off the beaten path to explore. Being two women, we were a little hesitant at first. We were delighted to realize the safeness of La Paz. We took a tour to Esparto-Santos Island to snorkel with whale sharks, taxied to Balandra Beach, and shopped at Ibarra’s Pottery. We loved staying in Condo C203 and hope to stay there next year with our husbands!
