This is a really cool little place. The food was fresh, well prepared and on point. Unfortunately, we got the grumpy and snotty server. We will go back because the food was so great. Stay clear of the grumpy guy.

Nice sea glass and swim. It could use some upgrades, the facilities are there, but not the most attractive.

The beach is great for swimming, with nice sand and very mild waves, maybe possible to body surf a little on a windy day. You can wade out maybe 30 meters and be only waist deep, with a very gradual drop off and crystal clear waters. When we were there people were watching a whale with binoculars. The beach faces Isla Spiritus Sanctus.

There is a trail to Balandra, but it is not in great condition and the path down to Balandra is a little hard to find. (If you try it, wear good shoes and budget about 35 minutes from the main parking area.)

There are several nice little restaurants right on the beach, some quite good, like Palapa Azul (try one of their chocolate clam dishes), and at least one horrible one, Bar El Técoloté (our worst food ever in Mexico) - go to one of the other restaurants/bars and listen to Bar El Técoloté’s loud classic rock mix for free if you want, but avoid their horrible service, food, and outrageous hidden charges (170 pesos because we ate under a palapa!)

There is lots of free parking, or you can take the scenic 40 minute bus ride from La Paz for 100 pesos round trip.

Easy bus ride to the beach. Able to use umbrella’s and chairs at a restaurant if we ordered food and drink - great service, lovely beach.

This was an all day excursion with a group of 25. We stopped at Bandalera Bay first. There are no facilities there. The beach is beautiful and calm water. Lots of fish nice stop. Only a few miles away was the much anticipated Tecalote Beach, don't get me wrong the beach is beautiful and so many choices of where to eat unfortunately we stopped at the first one with the huge palapa. Although the guys came out and directed our bus to this area I believe that 25 people at one time was overwhelming. The chips and guacamole were disappointing as the chips were not homemade the guacamole was fabulous. The red snapper was fresh and delicious. service was very slow and it took forever to get my beer and a shot. The beach was wonderful the water warm for a February day. It was quite the excursion from Cabo. Yes I would go back and take a picnic lunch.
