Having read the reviews on here it honestly feels like we stayed in another hotel.

We arrived at midday after a 14 hour flight to be told room not ready come back at 2. No welcome drink, no cool towel, no hotel map or any sort of welcome. Just awful

We stayed in the deluxe rooms which is the older original part of the hotel, all of the rooms in this part back directly on to the busy main road with noise from bars, restaurants and kitchens. When you came out of our front door we looked directly in to the back of a restaurant kitchen no more than 4 meters away.

The room smelt of raw sewage throughout our stay the smell was coming from the bathroom we asked to change rooms but was told hotel full. Tip to stop the smell keep the bath plug and sink plug in at all times. The deluxe rooms are long overdue an upgrade, it felt a bit like a hostel.

Breakfast is served in a giant tent.

Some staff friendly some not

In fairness the more expensive rooms looked nice but then your using the same pool as everyone else which is a bit tired in my opinion.

It’s in a great location but it’s not for me I really felt our room and experience was 3 star

In regards to the above complaint about the foul smell of the room, we sincerely hope that you can furnish us with more details (room number, check in and check out date) by sending us an email to gro@krabiresort.net

However having said that, I make no excuses for the lapses in service and quality of room and would like to assure you that I have already taken this matter to both our Front Dept and Housekeeping Dept as well as my team for immediate action.

Very nice and asthetic place. We took private pool rooms which was very elegant. They maintain the privacy of guests. Located at beach site. One must avail the service here. Could locate indian food nearby the resort which was added advantage. Currency exchange and ATM in in proximity.

We spent 10 wonderful nights at Krabi Resort. There are so many great things that I would love to give it 5 stars but they have to make some improvements.

The great things:

- Location right on the beach, away from the crowds.
- Extensive grounds that are well maintained.
- Two pools, one super large.
- Very large breakfast buffet with American and Asian choices. Terrific, high quality espresso machines.
- Friendly staff
- We were given a room upgrade.
- Quiet resort - no rock bands or big bar scene.

Need to improve areas:

- Property is very dated. While I enjoy an authentic Thai resort, Krabi Resort is getting tired. It feels more like a hotel from the 1980s than 2018.
- Room while comfortable needs improving:
The night tables have zero storage space (photo attached)
The safe requires a key, not a combination. (Photo attached). If you lose the key, there is a few of more than $75 USD
The room keycards have the room numbers on them. So if you lose it, anyone can get into the room. Also they charge $5 USD if you lose the keycard

Would I stay at Krabi Resort again? Yes I would. Rates are reasonable and there are lots of good things about it. Hopefully the management will invest the money to really make it perfect.

Krabi Resort is the 1st authentic Thai beach resort in Ao Nang which started operations in the year 1982. As we are in our 36th years of operation, some of our buildings will look dated compare to other newer and modern resort but our owners are investing more funds to upgrade, rebuild and refurbish. Our Luxury Grand Pool rooms and Pool Villas are the most recent added rooms. Coming this year, we will start to refurbish our Deluxe Hotel Rooms. We are currently procuring new contract for our safe boxes.

I would also like to take this opportunity to share that we have commenced on our refurbishment and restoration program which will see us adding new Beachfront Pool Villas, Tropical Pool Villas and new amenities to our resort.

Stayed here for 3 nights, upgraded to a higher category and loved the villa with its greenery and close proximity to the beach. Breakfast was just ordinary. Nice to roam around at night with the various small shops within walking distance. Overall, nice resort.

Perfect location at sea front centrally in Ao Nang, still a quiet oasis. You can note that the facilities are aging but the garden is beautiful and well kept. Staff is courteous and friendly. Atmosphere is professional though not so personal as in a smaller place.
The pool areas were a disappointment, the larger one playing loud music and the smaller one quite dull. Both areas and the lovely beach front area lack sunbeds for all guest. The existing low quality beds are "reserved" early in the morning.
The massage offered is a joke (external personnell) and not representative of a first class resort like this.
In summary, this establishment would benifit from some new ideas and facilities.

Thank you for choosing your stay at our resort and sharing valuable insights about your recent experience. Once again we are sorry to hear that our pool areas are not to your expectation. We have taken your feedback very seriously and are working hard to make improvements in all areas. I had forwarded your comment to the Pool and Recreation Department and rest assured that we will look into this matter and how we could improve our services and facilities better. As we do not have a spa and massage in our resort at this moment, we provide outsource massage service to our guest.

However having said that, I make no excuses for the lapses in service and would like to assure you that your feedback will be looked into by our management.

I would also like to take this opportunity to share that we have commenced on our refurbishment and restoration program which will see us adding new Beachfront Pool Villas, Tropical Pool Villas and new amenities to our resort.
