“Cosy!”

Great location, just five minutes from the machair and the beach. A cosy pod with everything you need for a short stay. Welcoming and interesting hosts and lovely fresh eggs. Handy for food store.

“What a delight!”
Reviewed 2 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We spent eight days in the storm pod and had a wonderful time.
The pod was compact, comfortable, cosy and warm, even on one stormy night
It had everything we needed for our stay and was enhanced by Jeff's brilliant photographs
It was in a great location - so peaceful and tranquil yet convenient for the shop, post office, petrol etc.
Ideally located to tour round this amazingly beautiful island.
Kathryn and Jeff were helpful and friendly. And a special thank you to Kathryn's mum for a cup of tea and cake!
We will be back!

“Super location near dunes, beach, golf, archaeology, hikes, and nice hotel/pub”
Reviewed 27 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Jeff and Kathryn were great hosts and very friendly. Jeff is a fantastic photographer; ask him to take you with him on one of his beach photography adventures! See his work at the Daliburgh post office; it's great. In their spare time, this busy couple farm and will tell you all about their eco-efforts. Right around the corner is the oldest golf course in the Outer Hebrides, designed by Old Tom Morris himself. See the remains of neolithic wheel houses in the machair nearby or walk along the endless beach just 5 minutes away.
The pod is basic, so take your own soap, shampoo and even plastic garbage bags. There is a one-burner hob, but several pots and pans which you can be creative with (I turned them into double boilers). Space in the kitchen is at a premium but there is always the nearby Borodale Hotel where you can get a nice meal and a drink in the pub/dining room. A nearby folk museum, plus many interesting sights including restored blackhouses, one of the area's finest wildlife walks and many other historic sites (including Flora MacDonald's birthplace...she who saved Bonnie Prince Charlie) are nearby. A great find!

Liked best: Kathryn's supply of fresh farm eggs.
Liked least: The foam mattress (not too comfy) and not enough shelves/hooks (which would have made the small space more usable)
