The pictures do not do this property justice. All ten of us had a wonderful stay, close to the venue of our son's wedding. Lot's of places to visit in the area, Loch Lomond is a must and only 20 minutes away.
The stayingn in this house was amazing! It is a beautiful house, in a lovely area. The ownera arw very nice and helpful and the house is big, beautiful and feels like home. It has everything you need for a perfect vacation!
Thank you very much!
We booked the house for the weekend of my wedding for the bridal party to stay in and get ready.
The house is stunning and an excellent place for celebrations since it has loads of space. The decor is really high quality which I feel matches the price tag. Despite the gorgeous surroundings there were a couple of things that meant our stay was only average.
One thing that spoiled the stay a bit was that the house next door's alarm was going off non stop for the entire Friday night and Saturday morning, which meant some people got little sleep before the wedding and were exhausted. It also meant we couldn't sit outside in the garden on the Friday evening because the screeching was really unbearable out there. Obviously the owners don't have control over this but it felt like we were paying a lot for an unusable garden and fire pit then not even getting a decent sleep before the big day.
We had the wedding on the Saturday and then everyone left on Sunday evening. We made sure we followed all the instructions and took all of the bins out and stripped the beds and we had been really clean and tidy in general since we hadn't spent a lot of time there.
I really took it for granted that we would get the security deposit back so I returned everyone's extra money. Just before my husband and I left for honeymoon I received an email to say that some money would be withheld because there were fake tan stains on the sheets. We wouldn't usually be wearing fake tan but since it was for a wedding and it was all bride & bridesmaids staying, a few of us did. Eventually, they took off £125 to replace the sheets. I was quite annoyed about it at the time but did not argue much, I have never had any problem like this before but then I don't often wear fake tan.
However, I mentioned this to a family friend who's a cleaner for similar holiday rentals in St Andrews and she was horrified, she said in all the years she had been cleaning the cottages they had never charged anyone for that, they would just absorb the costs in the interests of customer service. So when I heard her reaction I did wish I had contested it a bit more but with going on honeymoon the next day I had other things to deal with and just took it on the chin.
Anyway, to sum up, the place is lovely, has a really luxurious feel. But be wary if you're wearing make-up or fake tan because you may well get charged for replacement sheets and towels (very pricey egyptian cotton replacement sheets it would appear...)
There are no negatives in staying here, everything has been catered for to the very highest standard. Our weekend was wonderful from start to finish. The house is the stuff dreams are made of. Everything was perfect, even the sun shone for us! Regardless of weather this house is to be enjoyed and appreciated by all who visit. If you are lucky enough to be visiting the area try and stay here, or if you have a weekend free, treat yourself and some friends. We were there to celebrate my friends 50th. It did not disappoint in any way.

We were in the area for a family wedding and the Hayloft provided everything we could have needed for a successful stay. We were only sorry we couldn't stay longer. A very helpful and supportive management team.
