Description: Located in historic Bathsheba on the rugged east coast of Barbados, Round House has been a popular destination for locals and visitors for 150 years. With a colorful history as a train stop and longtime private residence, Round House today is one of the island's most beloved landmarks. The property offers commanding views of the Atlantic coastline, a panoramic vista of the iconic limestone rocks and thundering waves of Bathsheba, and an undisturbed stretch of beach studded with natural tidal pools just above one of the world's premier surf spots. Our bed-and-breakfast inn offers five architecturally-unique guest rooms, with unparalleled views and historic features intact throughout the completely original building. Our bustling restaurant uses only simple, fresh, locally-sourced ingredients for our menu served daily inside our dining room or outside on our decks overlooking the Atlantic, where you can put up your feet and unwind with one of the best views on the island.

Had an absolutely delightful lunch there last week. Indoor and outdoor seating. Pumpkin soup was delicious and daily catch fish sandwich was good as well. Service and wait staff were wonderful, helpful and pleasant.

We stopped off for lunch on one of our trips around the island The restaurant has superb views of the beach , surfers and the rocks around Bethsheba. The food was excellent but sadly we waited for nearly 1.5 hours before we received our food. They were very apologetic and did offer us a free drink. This venue would have received 5 stars had our food had been more prompt. Hiowever we would try it again

We have been to the Round house before lunch so were keen to go again. The location is great, the food is ok but this time the service was poor - no offer of further drinks or checks to see if we were ok. It's a shame as this couldbe very good but let down by slow service

We've stopped here quite a few times over the years and it's a really good restaurant with amazing views of the beach and surf at Soup Bowls and Parlours. This time we had flying fish sandwich and a house cheeseburger and both were delicious. The service we experienced was faultless but we did see some diners treated a little more abruptly as other reviews have mentioned. Nothing bad, just not the warm and friendly vibe we experienced. No doubt we'll be returning again this holiday and on future trips, partly because of limited choice in this area, but mainly because we've always had a great experience here.

When I asked at 1-30pm could I have a table the charming waitress said she was sorry the kitchen was closed. mI looked so crestfallen that she gave me a great big hug and said she was only joking and then gave us a corner table with a great view . The seafood we ate was of an exceptional standard. I highly recommend their home made fish cakes and sweet potato fries.
Great place, good food and staff that have a wicked sense of humour.
Loved it. Will definitely go again
