We stayed here last weekend from the Friday to the Monday and, for the most part, had a nice time. Unfortunately we encountered one major issue which detracted from our holiday experience and that was the fact that our family group’s two lodges were separated by virtually the length of the estate. This meant that my kids weren’t able to “pop into” their cousin’s lodge to freely spend time together as we have done on many previous family holidays. My parents also weren’t able to see as much of their grandchildren during the weekend stay as they would have liked. This was extremely annoying especially since we had booked our combined family group several months back on the one, single booking and payment card! I was informed on the Friday of our arrival by the assistant manager, James, that he’d look into the possibility of moving us closer together in the event of accommodation becoming available but he didn’t even have the courtesy to call me on the Saturday to tell me otherwise. To be honest we felt he was just fobbing us off with false promises which indeed turned out to be the case, while not even having the decency to inform us that no alternative accommodation had become available. He also blamed the situation on us booking via Booking.com but that is very feeble in my opinion and hopefully the hotel and booking agent(s) can sort out this type of error in future. We have ultimately been the victims of a flawed booking system.
I’m writing this review in the hope that this doesn’t happen to anyone else going forward and detract from their valuable family holiday time.

Went last Sunday for Sunday lunch as my Mum had been previously for a private party and really enjoyed.
It was just sad, lazy and overpriced as an experience.
Staff were inadequately trained, dining table had cracked and dirty glasses, there was no recorded of our booking and the worst was the food was from some cash and carry and was badly cooked. We did say this about our main course,so it was replaced with roast beef which had not been cremated, but still had packet gloopy gravy, smothering it and the most bizarre veg(?) ever.
To be fair, staff did apologise and I was not charged for my sparkling water, but the whole lunch was a disaster.
So really disappointing and will not be back-lots of other places serving proper food in a convivial atmosphere offering much better value.

We booked this place because it was near the restaurant we were going to later on that day and we didnt fancy driving home that evening. The satnav however did try and take us up a farm track to get to our destination so remember its the big stone entrance closer to the village that you go through to get to reception. The estate is very large with bungalows lining the driveway (these are available to hire) drive past the old house and park next to the white building which contains a pool, snooker room, gym etc and the reception is behind the pool building. Our room was spacious, tidy and clean however the shower was very small and the hot water turned cold when using it. Breakfast was in the Bistro next morning, you had the choice of full Scottish or mix and match or continental all tasted very nice. The server Brian was very professional, polite, well presented and prompt couldnt do enough for you well done top marks. The girls on the reception were also well presented, polite and very helpfull. We didnt get to use any facilities whilst staying here but there's more than enough to keep the kids occupied even if its raining. There was a wedding on when we were there so its best to book activities or dinning in advance.

The villa was 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom and had large lounge and kitchen , all well equipped.
The estate is calm and tranquil with well spaced villas. The children's play areas are good and the swimming pool is very good.
The bistro restaurant serves good and reasonable food.

Room Tip: Hotel or self catering available
