“Lovely cottage in lovely location”
Reviewed 27 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The cottage is clean and very comfortable. It is well located for day trips to Chatsworth, Bakewell and Castleton. We enjoyed walking along the canal to Bugsworth Basin, with a stop at Tesco on the way back. Good bed, hot shower, well equipped kitchen with all the comforts of home. Whaley Bridge has several good coffee and cake shops, with an abundance of take aways available.

“comfy”
Reviewed 16 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Very comfy cottage to stay in for a week, personal touches were appreciated,

Plenty to see and do in the area, although a lot of the big houses are closed during the winter months but this didn't spoil the week.

Only 2 downsides and that is a proper freezer could be useful and blinds in the kitchen especially by the cooker.

Overall a lovely cottage.

The little things ie coffee, tea , milk , wine , were a nice welcome. The house had all essentials. Cosy would be a good description. Handy location for everything ie shops, walks, canal, pubs. We loved our stay.

“Cottage was perfect, really enjoyed our stay”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Really great location next to the train station, well appointed kitchen and a homely feel to the cottage but plenty of space. Outdoor patio was great for relaxing over breakfast and the fish n chips from up the road were spot on! Only slight down side was one bedroom was quite warm at night despite leaving the windows open. But overall it was fantastic and a great base from which to explore the peaks.

“Beautiful cosy cottage”

We recently stayed in Honeysuckle Cottage for a week with our 9 year old son. The cottage was spotless, cosy and had everything you needed and more. It was an ideal base for our first ever trip into the Peak District and only 15 minutes or so to Buxton which we actually prefered to both Bakewell and Ashbourne. Whaley Bridge itselt has plenty to offer. A really excellent Indian Restuarant Zayka, fabuous Italian Casa di Pizza and the Cock Pub where we enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch. There is an excellent wine shop at the end of the road and a great bakery. We also enjoyed walks alongside the nearby canal. Would defintely recommend Honeysuckle Cottage - the complimentary milk, tea, coffee, wine and chocolate for our son were a lovely touch.
