“Nice scenery quiet location.”
Reviewed 9 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The nearby village of Acharacle has a good coffee shop. We had one evening meal at The Loch Sheil hotel which was poor, however the nearby Ardshealach Lodge provided quality food reasonably priced.
The caravan had seen better days but had most of requirements for holidaymakers.

“A Very Special Place. Very hard to leave.”

Scotland smiled and gave us 7 days of unbroken sunshine (when S & E Britain had cr*ppy weather) so this enthusiastic review is influenced by that. But I have simply never looked from my window on holiday & seen a view 1/2 as magical as this. Ever changing tide, glorious flowers & colours, rare habitats, near constant birdsong, sunsets over Rum & Eigg that words cannot describe, & for the kids, a colossal tidal beach, with a warmish river running through it, from which we court (& to which we returned) endless fascinating sea & beach creatures. The caravan is well provided for, cosy (not roomy) & comfy-we slept like logs. Car trips to West Ardnamurchan (the lighthouse & breathtaking Sanna Bay), & the Natural History Centre (Glenborrodale) gave us & the kids as high quality days out as we've ever had. If you don't want to rough it but want to get close to nature, go here. If you like tons of facilities, avoid it. Peace, fresh air, scarcely believable landscapes, wildlife, all abound.

“worth it for the view alone”
Reviewed 31 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Beautiful area, comfortable caravan on a well kept site. Only three caravans so very quiet, in spite of there being five Westies and a Border Terrier between us, Perfect to just relax or use as a base to explore. Ever changing views of Rhum and Eigg. Great places to eat only 2 miles away and a good shop to buy all your supplies.
Is there a down side. Only one in the shape of preparations being made for a reality show, which means about a mile of 8 ft fence running along the path to the singing sands themseves. They have also laid large and difficult to walk on stones along the length of that part of the walk. Once you get there though wow no better beach anywhere. The path put us off going back as our poor dogs took a few days to recover! Dont ket that put you off we loved our week there

Comfortable well equipped caravan. A wee bit hard to find tho, but fine and central to go out and about. The caravan was spotless and had everything we needed. Great location. Make sure you have plenty of petrol as one and only local garage very expensive compared to Glencoe. Beaches and walks were beautiful.

“Room with a view.”
Reviewed 13 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Out of the way caravan, one of three located next to shore of Kentra Bay. No internet but you can spend all evening watching the tide roll in & the sun going down. Shop is about two miles away, plenty of walking & beaches nearby.
