“Return visit to lovely location”
Reviewed 15 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Spacious well located house in a pretty village location. Lovely balcony with view of the river.
Good local shops & tea room. Excellent for walking, visiting castles (Powys or Montgomery) or relaxing.
Comfortable beds. Would go again!

“A Great Christmas”
Reviewed 7 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We booked the cottage to enable us to stay in the area while visiting family. From start to finish Heather was excellent and really helpful.
Upon arrival Heather gave us a quick tour then left us to It.With milk already in the fridge and delicious homemade mince pies, we had a great start to our trip with a quick tea break and mince pie before starting our holiday proper.
The cottage was perfect for the three of us but would easily accommodate four. The rooms are all very clean and tidy and well laid out and have all the things you'd expect or need.
Berriew is a beautiful village and although we didn't spend much time in the village itself,we found the locals very friendly. We'd love to stay again someday!

“Lovely cottage”

We enjoyed our short stay in this lovely, clean and comfortable cottage. Heather was very helpful and friendly. The village was charming and we found the surrounding area quite beautiful. Would strongly recommend.

“Lovely accommodation, lovely location!”
Reviewed 13 July 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This old corner shop has been perfectly turned into a lovely accommodation.Very homely and clean, exactly what was wanted for a tour accomodation. The balcony was a blessing on a sunny night after returning from work to have supper alfresco with a nice cold wine or beer. A pub and a shop on the doorstep prove to be very useful. There were also lovely walks along the canals with stunning views and wildlife. The owner lived next door, she was always prepared to help but was never intrusive. There was also a home made cake left for us on arrival which was very delicious.

“Comfortable, clean, peaceful and convenient”
Reviewed 16 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We had a lovely break at The Old Corner Shop which has been beautifully converted and is well-presented, clean, comfortable and well-equipped in an unfussy style. The owner lives next door and was helpful and friendly but not intrusive. A fresh home made cake was left for us with tea and coffee making requisites. As you'd expect from a former shop, it is in the centre of the village with a fair bit of coming and going during the day but very peaceful in the evening at night. Convenience store, tea room and two pubs are within walking distance, both service good pub food but very sparse trade in the mid week. Pleasant waterside walks from the door. Just be aware that there are a few steps down or up to bedrooms and bathrooms, and the local church bell ringers did practice one evening but we didn't find it intrusive.
