“Great welcome, great views, great place”
Reviewed 23 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had a lovely welcome by the owner who was friendly and informative with helpful information. Answered our questions and said to call upon her any time if we need anything.

Accommodation was clean and tidy, providing great views with plenty of space for the two of us. Local shop not far away with pubs, restraurants and cafes all within walking distance. Lovely walks either side of Solva along the coastal paths with great views. Took a boat trip to Ramsay Island which was a great day seeing many different sea and small birds plus sealions playing in the small coves.

Within 10 minutes drive we were able to view and walk lovely costal footpaths and found a great fish restaurant in Porthgain - The Shed. This is right by the Harbour and although you would need to book if you were going in the evening, during the day you could eat wonderful fish and chips outside. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting this area.

“great place as a base to see the lovely Pembrokeshire coast”
Reviewed 21 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We found The Annexe to be a lovely place for a couple wanting a self catering holiday in Solva, which itself is a picturesque coastal village. The Annexe is a very spacious, tastefully decorated and private property that also allows dogs, and safe for our dog Trio.
My fiance, Sue, and I, felt very comfortable in the property which had everything we needed to enjoy our week.
The owner Penny was very nice and left us to our own devices after coming to say hello shortly after our arrival.
The Annexe offers lovely views of the coast due to it's lofty position in the village, which does necessitate walking up and down a hill from the main road but after a while you get used to that.
Penny had also provided a booklet with lots of useful information and she also gave us tips for getting to the harbour side, avoiding the main road. That itself gave the opportunity of seeing the lovely inlet hosting the harbour and was a most enjoyable walk
We were very happy with our stay and recommend The Annexe to other couples wanting to stay in this lovely part of Wales.
The only suggestion I make to Penny is to paint the outdoor bench and table with a suitable coloured weatherproof paint, only a minor point but it would nicely finish off a very respectable self catering property
best wishes, Dave, Sue and Trio

Very happy that your holiday here was such a success. You were certainly very lucky with the fantastic weather. I have taken on board the idea to paint the wooden patio table but I don't think I will paint the lovely solid oak bench. But thanks for the suggestion - always welcome:)

“Great, cozy little place”

Lovely place with everything a couple could need and situated in such a pretty village. And Penny gave a great last minute deal, very kind. We had a great holiday and would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

“A pleasant surprise !”
Reviewed 19 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

The Annexe was larger than expected, the photographs do not do it justice.
Although part of the owners house we were in no way disturbed.
Overall the Annexe contributed to a great holiday.

Very happy when our guests are pleasantly surprised. It is very difficult to get good indoor pictures - maybe I'll have another go for 2014.

“More than we expected!”
Reviewed 5 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

The Annexe is a very comfortable and well maintained flat in Upper Solva. It is very cosy and welcoming and has everything you could want - comfy living room, nice bathroom with shower and bath, and a good sized bedroom. There is also a conservatory - unfortunately we didn't use it because the weather was quite cool over Easter but it is a lovely spot to sit. There's also a small courtyard, which gets the afternoon sun. I say 'more than we expected' as we thought it would be small as it's an annexe and because of the low price.... but it's spacious and as mentioned, very comfortable for lounging around and also for cooking - there's everything you need here - so really good value for money. It's located just off the coastal path and around the corner from a well-stocked local shop. If you walk a few minutes, you get to the lower part of Solva with its pubs - a very good one for food (which is priced well) is 'The Cambrian Inn'. As the flat is higher up, there's lots of light so the whole feeling of the place is cosy, comfortable and light...and quiet. The owner is efficient, friendly but discreet.
