We were able to walk her pushing our luggage from the ferry dock. It doesn't look much from the outside but once inside it was great. They are still recovering from the Hurricanes but are working hard to please the customers. Thank you Thomas and Adonna at the restaurant (sugarcane grille) for making our stay into a memory.

I visited about 6 months after the hurricane and it is wonderful to see how quickly businesses are recovering in the aftermath. The staff at Bunker Hill were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms on both stays were very clean. The morning breakfast on the veranda was very pleasant. There is still work do to in order to get back to 100% and I was happy to be a guest and help provide much needed revenue to the community.

We spent one night at Bunker Hill and were treated to the friendliest, most helpful staff ever. Thomas and his family welcomed us not only into his hotel, but made us feel at home and part of the family! The rooms were clean and well maintained and the food at the restaurant was the best we had our whole vacation. The next morning we were treated to a fresh, homemade breakfast on the terrace overlooking the town. Can't wait to visit again!

We spent 1 night here after our sailing in the BVI’s. The staff were great. The hotel is still in recovery mode, but nice beds and some great breakfast. The location is a couple blocks off the water and in walking distance to the 99 steps and Blackbeard’s castle and the shops along the water. We would definitely go back.

My daughter and I took a quick, short notice, trip to St. Thomas as she wanted to scope out the college (which she ended up going to). When we first pulled up, it looked a little sketchy (the hotel and the neighborhood) but we were greeted like family. The next day we walked down to the boardwalk and looked at shops before our tour with the school. Everywhere we went in the neighbor hood, we were nicely greeted and were welcomed.

Yes, it looks a little run down but we ended up loving the area! I have to be honest, I was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews but as far as we were able to tell, they were all unfounded. This is not uber-exclusive 5-star accommodations, but if you can get over yourself, it was great! We had a blast and the staff treated us like family! I felt like a wanted guest in their house and not just a customer. From the staff to the residents, everyone was very friendly and helpful!

The top floor (where we were) had spotty Wi-Fi. Go down by the pool and you will get better reception, or better yet, get off your computer and enjoy wonderful St Thomas! LOL

The only issue that we saw was that if you do not like stairs or are looking for an elevator, this might not be for you. My family and I love walking, hiking and climbing, so it was not an issue.

Room Tip: Top floor (where we were) had spotty Wi-Fi.
