My wife and I loved our week long stay at the Regent Grand. The pool and beach are beautiful as our the grounds. The facility is well maintained.

After walking the beach for a week, we found the Regent Grand is more relaxing and quiet than the other resorts on the beach.

The staff is very good overall from Jimmy who makes sure you always have a drink in your hand while by the beach, to the house keeping staff who did a great job all week.

The front desk staff is hit or miss. They sit behind a very high desk so you aren't sure if they are even there until you walk up to the desk. Some were helpful, others less helpful. I recommend booking activities and restaurants yourself. The desk made 3 errors with reservations on our trip.

Regardless, I recommend this resort to anyone looking for a smaller resort on a beautiful beach with a great pool and near shopping and restaurants.

Say a prayer before driving on the island. I drive in Boston, MA known for its aggressive driving, it's nothing compared to the driving in Provo.

Room Tip: The full kitchen and nearby grocery store can you save you money if you want to cook a few meals ins...

Just finished up a 5 night stay at the Regent Grand on Grace Bay. This is a hotel/condo set-up. Very quiet setting on the beach and was perfect for what we were looking for. They do have servers by the pool and beach, staff was helpful and always happy.

Grace Bay is incredible. Clear blue water and perfect stand, just a great setting for a relaxing vacation.

Plenty of restaurants/bars up and down the beach, very walkable (really no need for a rental car if you are staying in Grace Bay - Marina was ok but nothing great. Da Conch Shack is a must and having a car is helpful for that but cabs are around.)

There is a grocery within walking distance and bikes available to use as well. Be prepared for sticker shock when buying groceries and alcohol. The food is a 50% mark up at least and the alcohol is as well. Case of beer will run you $70. We had a kitchen in our unit and did at least one meal a day there and then went out for a nice dinner every night.

The food is great, didn't have a bad meal on the trip, some that we enjoyed:
- Coyaba - incredible, very nice staff - expensive but well worth it.
- Bella Luna - italian food, fun owner, very good meal - average pricing
- Hemingways on the beach - we had dinner here once and drinks again during the day - nicely priced and all the food we saw coming and going looked good.
- Bay Bistro - right next to Hemingways - we had weekend brunch here and it was great. Also, they have some tables right on the beach and great for afternoon drink or food. - average pricing.
- Sushi place in Salt Mills Plaza (can't remember the name) - we had a great meal here as well. Probably least expensive meal and was great.

Some fun bars on the beach - infinity bar at Grace Bay Club was cool, Da Conch Shack on the other side of the island was great - you could really sit there all day and the jerked chicken was great.

We hit Tiki Hut in the marina and it was average, heard Sharkbite was good at the marina but never made it over there (marina wasn't that interesting to us).

Caicos Island Snorkeling Tour and our guide Kevin provided a great snorkeling trip.

Very much liked the Regent Grand - Grace Bay Club, Seven Stars and Somerset all looked nice as well.

Turks and Caicos and Grace Bay is just incredible and relaxing and safe. Would highly recommend visiting and I know we will be back.

After reading about the Regent Grand in Travel and Leisure, I decided to book our family's post holiday vacation at this wonderful resort/condo residence. We spent 7 nights at the Regent Grand and had not one complaint. The location is right in the middle of Grace Bay and is within walking distance of many great restaurants. They provide taxi service to and from the airport and the concierge staff will accommodate any of your requests. We rented out a lovely 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit that was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities you would want. The pool is gorgeous, clean, quiet with both shade and sun locations. The beach has space for everyone with comfy chairs and umbrellas. Someone else had said that they were disappointed that there was no pool or beach beverage/food service, but that is no longer the case. We enjoyed not having a restaurant on site because it meant that the only people on the property either owned a condo unit or were renting. The Regent Grand does provide a continental breakfast at The Vix (a few feet from the lobby) and it will meet most people's basic breakfast needs. The condo owners we met were friendly and helpful, giving us restaurant and entertainment suggestions. (Good Restaurants - CoCo Palms, Grace Bay Cottage, Cafe Caicos). We plan to return and would recommend this for lodging to anyone.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and the views were pretty, but higher up would have afford a better ocean...

Stayed here in August 2011 with our 8 month old daughter.

Positives: Pool is absolutely perfect for very young kids (low slope walkin, and little areas where she could sit and splash). Hotel provided crib and high chair. Unlimited nice big towels by the pool. Yummy, limited continental breakfast. Gorgeous location. Walkable distance to nearby grocery store where we could pick up baby essentials that we didn't want to pack.

Negatives: Few, but somewhat significant ones to mention for people traveling with young children. The crib did have sheets, but they weren't fitted to the mattress: just an adult bed flat sheet laid on top and tucked around corners. Our daughter doesn't toss and turn much, but if she did, I'd worry. Also, crib came with bumpers that we removed, but they didn't appear clean. The high chair was apparently stored outdoors, because when it arrived, a few roaches crawled out of it. After a few moments of screeching ick ick, I was able to compose myself and wash the chair. But perhaps, if you do request a high chair, ask for it to be cleaned? Last, we thought that all of the apartments/studios came with a washer/dryer, but ours did not. I had planned to do laundry, so I asked about a coin op machine (they don't have one). The hotel offered to do our washing for us, which was super nice, but not the same level of convenience that I'd hoped for. Be sure to ask if your room comes with washer/dryer.

This past November my wife and I (we were married on the island since our last stay at this resort) returned for our second visit to the Regent Grand. We requested suite 107 again because we loved the extra "poolside terrace" and the way the room was decorated (it's more modern than some of the other suites) and that we could walk right out to the beach. It also has a great ocean view for a beach level unit (all of the beach level units are raised a bit but this one is perfectly situated for a clear view of the ocean). I would actually open the slider curtains when we went to bed so that the first thing that we would see when we got up was the beautiful turquoise water.

What makes this resort so special (or different) is that the restaurants, bars and shops are right in front of the resort (at the Regent Village) so there is NOT a lot of "non-guests" on the property. This creates a friendly, secure & residential feel. You can easily leave your belongings by the pool and take a walk on the beach without any concern. It also allows the staff to know every single guest by name (and room). It is strange when you pull up in a cab and your are greeted by name or when you order your first drink at the bar and they know what room your are in. However, since this is a small resort without restaurants and night clubs directly on the property this is not the type of resort where there are servers everywhere to bring you food and drink (I think they try to stay out of site). Having said that, there has not been one single time when we asked for something and they did not deliver.

As a lot of people have pointed out, the location of the Regent Grand is impossible to beat. In addition to the Regent Village out front, the Salt Mill Shops are accross the street (we recomend the Salt Mill Diner for breakfast). There is also a nice upscale market that is about a 10 minute walk (or a two minute bike ride) that had everything we needed to eat and drink in our room (the fully furnished kitchen also had everything we needed). You can walk to many restaurants and other resorts (that have restaurants and bars on premises) when you want to. We found good Indian, Thai, Pizza and Italian all within walking distance. We like the fact that everything is close by if we desire it but if we want peace and quiet we can just go back to the Regent Grand. It can be impossible to find peace and quiet at a lot of the other popular resorts that we have stayed at in Provo.

We noticed that the only thing that seemed to be missing in the area was a gourmet coffee shop but on our last day there we stuck our head in one that was under construction (scheduled to open last month) and it looked gorgeous. Just walk to the street and take a right; it is less than a block away.

After staying at a half dozen other resorts in Provo we can honestly say that this resort (and this room) are by far our favorites!

Room Tip: The beach level units 106 through 110 have a clearer view of the ocean
