My husband and I have stayed for 6 nights at Seasongs and truly enjoyed it. I loved the combination of a cute, traditional cottage from outside and the stylish and modern interior. We spent lots of time at the screened-in porch in the backyard, which gives you a sense of real privacy. Thanks to the shade the trees provide and the trade winds, it was always a nice and cool place for relaxing.
The cottage is well-appointed and perfect for a couple or a small family. The amenities include a small, but fully equipped kitchen, which provides everything you need if you wish to cook your own meals. The bedroom is very stylish with a large and comfortable bed. The living room area is also nicely designed. There is A/C, but we felt comfortable with using just the fans and keeping the windows and doors open most of the time.
One has to note that there was no internet and satellite TV as originally advertised. This is understandable as these services are not yet up and running after the two hurricanes last year, however it was a bit of a disappointment. It didn't have a real negative influence on our holiday though, we took use of the very recent DVDs and high quality boardgames provided.
Also it was very nice to have two bikes to discover the island. We enjoyed visiting the lighthouse in the north and Governor's Beach in the south. This was our favourite beach in Grand Turk. Pillory Beach is only a few steps away from the cottage and also nice, however it can get a bit crowded on days when cruise ships are in town.
I liked the cottage's quiet location outside of Cockburn Town. Also it is just a short bike ride or a nice walk away - I especially enjoyed our evening walks to town and the beautiful beach views on the way.
Grand Turk is a beautiful island with stunning beaches, wonderful people and a rich history waiting to be discovered. Even though the traces of the storms are still visible, I really enjoyed my first visit and hope to return soon. For my next stay I would book Seasongs again.
We had a rough start to our first week with LOTS of wind, and once we landed here, it was wonderful. This cottage was decorated absolutely beautifully, and had everything that a person would need. Eric has thought of even the smallest of things - beach chairs, a bbq, and fluffy towels. The king sized bed is more comfortable than the one that I have at home - it feels like sinking into a cloud, and the wonderful part, is that you do not feel your partner move, or turn!
This cottage is in THE perfect location - steps from Pillory Beach (one of the most valued beaches in TCI) and close to markets, and the town. It is easy to walk, or Eric has generously provided bikes to get around. There is a HUGE screened porch in the back, including a fan, to spend evenings. The house is completely safe, which is incredible. There are ceiling fans everywhere, which incorporates bringing the tradewinds in - and because he has decorative bars on the outside of the house, we were completely comfortable leaving the windows open all night - loved that. Nothing like feeling the night tradewinds blowing through.
This has been truly one of my best experiences in any trip that I have had. I have done extensive traveling in the Grenadines, but this tops!
Seasons Cottage is a wonderful home. The pictures you see online are exactly what you see in person. The house is tastefully decorated and has all you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We spent a lot of time in the screened in back porch. There are ceiling fans throughout the house, plus two ac units.
We read other reviews on this rental and were very pleased with what we found. There is a beach within 30 yards out your front door. However, we went to Governor's Beach everyday. This beach is beautiful and very few people go there.
We used the two bikes provided at the house on our first day but decided to rent a golf cart for the rest of our stay. Snorkeling is wonderful on Grand Turk. We are not divers but my wife and I did snorkel from the beach to The Wall. We saw a sea turtle and lots of pretty fish.
Seasongs is within a close walk to a grocery store and Barbie's Restaurant. Seeing as you are staying on the west side of the island, you get beautiful sunsets each night. We also ate at two other places, The Grand Turk Inn and Sandbar which also allowed us to see sunsets.
Don't be shocked by the prices. Everything is shipped in and prices are high. We paid $21.50 for a 6 pack of beer.
If you are looking for a night life, Grand Turk is not your destination. However, if you want a really nice place to stay with beautiful beaches and enjoy the water, Grand Turk and Seasongs Cottage is your place.
