We enjoyed our 10 day stay at Reef House so much. It is truly a magical location. The hosts were helpful and welcoming - they ensured our stay was everything we hoped for. We had everything we needed in our apartment. Best of all, you are just feet from the most beautiful water I have ever seen! So peaceful.
This rental is perfect! It is very clean, cute and has everything you will need. I stayed for a week with my husband. The view is spectacular and the screened in upper deck makes it so you can enjoy the ocean view and breeze all day and night. Dawna the host was very helpful and friendly. She picked us up from the airport, helped us with plans and made diving reservations for us (Blue Water Dive shop was excellent). This place is perfect for a quiet getaway to enjoy the beach and ocean. We loved it!
Ok I’m going to start this review by starting with the Cons.
CONS.... There aren’t Any!!!!
PRO’s...... Oh my God what a place to spend our vacation over Christmas, from the second we set foot on the amazing deck we knew we were in heaven, it’s literally on the beach 10 feet from the turquoise water. If it’s a peaceful getaway you are looking for then look no further, book now!!
The Suite itself is very very clean and spacious and the AC is awesome.
Let me get to the real Gem of the Reef House, I’m talking about Dawna and Pierre(aka Billy Connolly) from the time we met Pierre who picked us up at the airport in his golf cart we knew we were in good hands, the history of the island was given to us in the 10minute ride from the airport. We then met Dawna at the house who was amazing, any questions or looking for suggestions where to eat they were more than willing to help. They even invited us for Christmas dinner with their friends, and it was delicious.
For us another highlight were the resident “potcakes” India, Cumming and Ducky so friendly and always looking for a little love.
This is an excellent choice for a getaway, you will not be disappointed I Promise!
Mike and Pasent.
The location is amazing !. The suite faces the ocean and is mere steps from the beach. The unit is located centrally on the island and a short walk to many stores and restaurants. The views are stunning and the sunsets amazing. They have recently added a wooden deck which is prefect to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset.
The unit itself has all the amenities a small apartment would have. The appliances are new and the shower has great water pressure. The pantry is full of different spices left from the previous guests. The internet is high speed and TV has several movie and sports channels.
The island itself is beautiful and very friendly. There is lots of wild donkeys and horses roaming freely and they pose no threat. Most I found quite friendly especially for a carrot.
The restaurants nearby serve high quality food and we found the " Grand Turk Inn" to be our favorite, however the others nearby are very good as well.
The best beach on the island is "Governors Beach" . Ask the locals for the directions to the quiet part away from the cruise ship tourists. This beach is worth the trip to Grand Turk. The water is warm and the sand is incredible. I challenge anyone to find a rock!
If you plan on snorkeling, book early in your stay in case your trip gets cancelled due to high winds or other weather, its hard to re book with the cruise ships in port almost daily.
Overall I would recommend booking this rental and coming to Grand Turk. The island offers something most islands in the Caribbean cannot provide.
We stayed here for a few weeks in May. The weather was warm. Staying right on the beach was lovely. We lounged on the beach or the porch most days. We watched the sunset every night on the ocean from the porch. It was the most relaxing vacation ever!
The kitchen was big with all the appliances you'll need to cook. We needed to cook due to dietary restrictions. We took our meals and snacks out on the porch to eat.
There were only two of us that went and the place was plenty big enough. The shower was big. The bed was big & comfortable.
We went for walks on the sandy beach every day. Walking up one way will take you to a place called the Bohio. We had drinks there. Walking up the other way you have to move up to the street. The walk is nice. The town has many restaurants to choose from. There's an Asian fusion place that's really good, too.
We rented a golf cart for a few days to get to part of the island that's too far to walk to in the heat. The cruise terminal is touristy, but recommended to visit because there are space themed statues to see. There's a Margaritaville there.
We loved a place called Governor's Beach. Its sort of secluded. We had our engagement pictures taken there. Gorgeous! It was so nice to not be bothered at the beach. We lounged and snorkled and swam.
Pierre & Donna are the upstairs owners & are very friendly people. They helped us with anything we needed.
Overall, if you want a place to go to relax and unwind, this is the place!
