My wife and I spent five nights at FS Nevis over Valentine's Day weekend to escape the cold in Washington, DC. It was our first time to FS Nevis. We knew we wanted to travel to the Caribbean/West Indies for this trip, and after doing extensive research on numerous resorts, we decided on the FS Nevis. We have previously been to FS Maui two times (incredible resort), so we had high expectations for FS Nevis to live up to the Four Seasons level of service and overall five star resort experience. FS Nevis met and even exceeded our hopes for a tropical winter escape! The grounds are lush with a great variety of plants, trees, and flowers. Mount Nevis is lovely to behold. We spent most of our days at the Serenity Pool to enjoy an adults only, peaceful pool environment with excellent views and service. Eating lunch poolside and sipping on tropical drinks and local beers is our idea of a good time, and the Serenity Pool really allowed us to indulge. Food wise - The local spiny lobster is absolutely amazing. Also try eating off resort at Bananas or Montpelier Plantation Inn, where you can dine on a 5-course meal inside ruins of an old sugar mill. Very romantic. Jumping around topics here, but our favorite day was spent on the FS beach in a private beach hut. Great service at the huts, total privacy when wanted, full drink & food service, and you have three sets of reserved seats (sofas in the hut, chairs just in front of the hut on the beach, then another set with umbrellas closer to the ocean). The main driveway into the FS Nevis is lined with tall palm trees - very impressive. There are running paths around the resort that we enjoyed a few mornings. We ventured a bit off course on one of our runs to go see the monkeys, which was really neat. The color of the water here is a beautiful blue-green. We wanted to go sailing during our stay, but all the charters were all booked. So, if this is something you're looking to do, I recommend booking at least a month in advance if traveling during peak season. We are kayakers and enjoyed the complementary kayak service provided by the FS Nevis. It was always a treat to sit in the lobby, sip on a rum fashioned, and gaze out at the sunset. The FS Nevis dock is beautiful, especially during sunset. As others say in their reviews... upon arrival on the FS boat from the St. Kitts airport (~30 minute boat ride with complementary rum punch and beers) staff from the resort are there to meet you and take you directly to your room. Your luggage arrives separately, and we loved this service. You have the option of keeping a carry-on with you. All-in-all, this was a lovely winter escape, and we were sad to see it end. We will definitely return!

Thank you very much for this complimentary review. We are delighted to hear you had a memorable Valentine stay with us. Did you get a chance to visit Sunshine for his world-famous Killer Bee? As we say, you are only a stranger on Nevis once. We look forward to welcoming you back to Nevis as part of our family.

Beautiful location with great amenities. Golf course was a little dry but remain
Dined great fun and challenging.
Water sports program a little weak.
Dinner service a bit slow, even for a resort.
Beds a little soft for my back.
Despite the above, will be back--beautiful part of the world.

We did not stay at the hotel, however we did partake of the bar, outside grill, and tours. The staff was the most professional and friendly that I have experienced in ages. Nevis is one of those places that you can still get away. A quiet and secluded island, and is the best kept secret of those that don't need all the tourist draws. Facility offers great dining, drinking, wonderful beach with all the activities and great tours of the island. They also have a 4 star golf course, tennis and a great spa. The food was delightful and reflected the island. Stop and say hello to Lewellyn at the outside grill. He is a master griller and creator of the famous Lewellyn's Pepper Sauce, which by the way is great. We plan to go back and stay there next year.

Room tip: All the room vantages looked good

The rooms were very disappointing. They smelled of mildew and mold! We had 2 rooms on the ground floor near the reflection pool. We travelled with another family and they had one room on the ground floor next to us and one on the 2nd floor. Their ground floor room smelled of mold and mildew as well. The 2nd floor room did not. The rest of the resort was nice and the service was good. Breakfast was very busy several mornings and the staff had a hard time accommodating the crowd and the service was not good those mornings. We waited for an hour to get yogurt and two eggs one morning.

Our family went to Four Seasons Nevis for a five-day trip, and we very nearly decided to skip the boat ride back to St. Kitts for our flight home. This was hands down the most incredible vacation I have ever taken. Every meal was sublime, our rooms were charming, spacious and lacked no amenities we needed, the grounds are gorgeous, the service was perfect at all times, and the activity choices were so many that it was hard to pick from them all. Really, the only negative thing I can say is that the trip had to end. Their attention to detail is amazing, and I was particularly impressed that they had three swimming pools to choose from, including one designated as a quiet pool in case you really just wanted to rest and relax poolside. The only way to top this vacation would be to go back.

Room tip: Chances are you'll have a little less noise in rooms on the second floor and in buildings a little further away from the main house.
