Lovely 2 night break between Christmas and new year. The weather was cold and very windy but the lounge was nice and warm. There is a good beach not far away. The Lodge has all the essentials like washing up liquid, toilet roll and foil etc. On arrival we found a tasty cake and some honey along with 2 pints of milk a really super touch and greatly enjoyed.
Gwen was there to greet us on arrival and the homemade cake and bottle of milk left for us in the Lodge were a nice touch. (The cake was delicious). The Lodge itself is on the owners property down a private road with it's own enclosed garden, which is safe for kids and dogs to play away from the road and is in a great location on the Llyn Peninsula. The unspoilt, secluded beach (Traeth Penllech) takes about 20 minutes or so to get to by foot but it is well worth the walk. It's also a dog friendly beach which was a bonus for us. The coastal villages of Morfa Nefyn, Abersoch and the market town of Pwllhelli are just a short drive away.
I would definitely come here again and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful break from it all - you are guaranteed a good night's sleep.
We were greeted by a scrumptious cake on arrival - thank you Gwenllian's Mum!
The Lodge is nicely decorated and well equipped, its clean, comfortable with beautiful views across to Anglesey in the far distance. We enjoyed the stunning scenery and wonderful walks right on the doorstep
There is an enclosed garden which was perfect for our young dog who was fascinated by the four very friendly horses in the adjacent paddock.
Gwenllian, Richard (and their young son's Will and Harry) are great hosts, We will definitely come again.
