This is a great walk with some wonderful coastal scenery. Didn’t hear the sand whistling but it was very enjoyable.

Lovely beach really chilled and peaceful. Parking was reasonable at £4 for the day, we look forward to coming back!

Visited week before dog ban with our 2 dogs hoping for a nice long beach walk. Paid £4 to park then walked length of beach and back in under 20 minutes, including sitting down. Disappointed! Sand did squeak however .

A clean beach nicely out the way, if you kick then sand as you walk or it's a windy day the sand will whistle. It's not as busy as some of the other beaches which is nice and it is worth a visit.

A large car park with free toilets. Such a need in later life. The road down to the beach is quite steep but it so worth it. Shuffle around in the dry sand and you will hear a noise. It really is a glorious setting. We almost had the place to ourselves this week but it was early March. After spending some time exploring we retired to the Cafe. What a welcome relief this was from the biting wind. The cafe owners made us feel so welcome and the Fruit cake was, in the words of my significant other half, the best cake she has ever eaten. A complete pleasure to rest a while and enjoy the fantastic view. We chatted with the owners and they enlightened us on places to visit nearby. Well done Porthor Cafe. We will definitely be back.
