“A perfect stay”
Reviewed 24 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This stay was our 10th year at Gwelfryn. Whilst we loved the old cosy cottage, the new modern Gwelfryn is even more perfect. It has everything you could need for a perfect holiday. It is always spotlessly clean & is finished to a very high spec. The added extras such as milk, cakes, flowers etc make it even more welcoming. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need. The cottage has wi-fi, games, TVs in every bedroom as well as the kitchen & lounge. The location is perfect. Quiet, overlooking hills but the walk to Aberdaron beach takes only 5 minutes. I would recommend Gwelfryn to anyone visiting this area & I'm certain we will be back next year. :)

“Five star luxury in an amazing location”
Reviewed 7 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

I holidayed in Aberdaron as a child, and now, with my own young family, my wife and I decided to find a cottage to rent in the area. We were prepared for January / February weather to mean lots of days indoors - but we've only had one windy/wet day our of seven. Every other day has pretty much been blue skies and sunshine!

After spending hours researching properties to hire, we settled on Gwelfryn. It was the first time we'd hired a holiday cottage as a family, but we weren't disappointed. The property is truly five star - it has everything you could possibly want for a holiday in this stunning area. And the owners had even left fresh flowers and cake in the kitchen for our arrival.

The bedrooms are super comfy (and the upstairs master bedroom makes use of a particularly funky space), the bathrooms ultra clean and modern, and the kitchen is a fantastic family area with a sofa, table for six, and the best bar stools we've ever seen - and we now want to buy the same ones for our home! The lounge has everything you could want - modern Sony telly, Blu-ray/DVD player, wireless speakers for your mobile device, games for the kids... And as for telly's, there's a flatscreen in the kitchen and every bedroom too.

The cottage looks out over rolling hills, is ultra-quiet and just a five minute walk into Aberdaron village. There's off-street parking, and a lovely patio at the rear which must be lovely in the summer. We even found a BBQ in the shed, but perhaps not quite suitable for Jan/Feb, even in the sunshine!

We really can't fault the house, and we'll be very likely to return. We wouldn't even bother considering another property in the area - nothing could possibly be nicer than Gwelfryn.

A big thanks to the owners for making us feel so welcome, and for helping us to beat the January blues. For that, you have truly succeeded in every way.

This has got to be one of the best places we have ever stayed in. No need to go abroad. The owners have thought of everything. The cottage is amazing so clean. Home from Home we didn't want to leave. 5min walk to the lovely village of Aberdaron and the beach. Lots of coastal walks. 2 lovely Pubs with great food. Shops, cafes, bakery. When we arrived at the property the owners had left us the most amazing afternoon tea. If you have a car it is easy to reach lots of lovely beaches, villages ect.. Or you can get a bus in the village. Please give it a try. You will love it.
