On Fort Street in Downtown George Town is the Clock Tower erected by the people of the Cayman Islands and dedicated to the beloved King George V. Thye Clock Tower is a simple white brick structure with illumination at night. I enjoyed the entire area aroung the Clock Tower as well which included the 1919 Peace Memorial, a King George statue, the Public Library and the Post Office. Heroes Square is a delightful little square with fountains and a memorial to the heroes who have been important to the history of George Town and the Cayman Islands. I recommend taking a few minutes and explore the old historical monuments and history of George Town.
