We dined at Biras Creek on a Tuesday to celebrate our anniversary. The views from the restaurant's hillside perch are lovely and the open air, candlelit dining room creates a wonderful ambiance. We had high expectations going in -- and, although it was certainly one of our best meals in Virgin Gorda, we didn't feel it was as good as what we had at Little Dix's Pavilion Restaurant. Don't get me wrong -- Biras was tasty, but at that price point, I would expect to be a little more blown away and rave about the meal the whole way home.
I also thought the service was a little spotty. There were too many servers and it got a little confusing as to who was handling what. At the same time, we had wanted a leisurely, relaxing dinner and the pace ended up feeling a little too rushed. We had a 7:00pm reservation and finished dessert at 8:45. At that point, we did rush to catch the 9:00 ferry back, not wanting to wait for the 10:00.
I think dinner at Biras Creek is a must on Virgin Gorda, but you may want to lower your expectations slightly. It may be overhyped and that leads to mild disappointment.
