My family of six dined here last night. We arrived without a reservation at 6:30 and were seated just in time for the sunset shot. Smooth was friendly at the bar, and Ninja was an efficient and pleasant server.
We had three appetizers to start: crab fritters, coconut shrimp, and ahí tuna. All were good, with the coconut shrimp being the highlight.
I had the special blackened mahi mahi. It was solidly good, but nothing special. My husband really enjoyed his Brazilian steak dish with chimichurri sauce. My son's hamburger was cooked perfectly medium-rare. My younger daughter (5) had totally plain pasta, and my older daughters split the vegan angel hair pasta and a salad, both of which they enjoyed.
As the restaurant filled up, the staff was stretched thin and the service became harried. We declined dessert at that point after watching the table next to us wait an eternity for theirs.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Some days we cannot predict the rush in the restaurant without reservations. We are continuously reviewing and addressing little hiccups, and we hope the next time you dine with us, your experience will be a most memorable one.

The food was good, the sunset view was fabulous, but the service left something to be desired. The first person we encountered was great, making recommendations for drinks and food. Unfortunately, the person who took our order and served us seemed annoyed with ever question we asked her.

By far, the menu at BananaKeet was the most creative. We were on island for 10 days and ate there 3 of them, just because the bar, staff and service were so good. It is also a great place for the sunset or to watch rainbows after showers. Our first experience there was with a big group of 40 for a wedding good bye party and the staff took care of all of us, plus their other guests. We tried so many things on the menu and everything was delicious. We travel a lot and are very discerning. Ms. Desiree and her staff were amazing and on two occasions, were enjoyed dinner and conversations with her and the staff. By far our favorite place, not just for the food, but the thoughtful and fun personal experience. We had a couple friends staying in the inn and they also liked their experience. In Tortola service is slower than at home and people forget to enjoy their time. So, ignore any complaints on other reviews about that and prices. They were hands down comparable to everywhere else we went. It is an island, so everything has to be brought in. Who wants to race through dinner, when the gorgeous sun sets over the islands and you are with people you enjoy? We can't wait to return and visit. Go see Smooth and Ninja at the bar...they will take good care of you. Don't forget to make a reservation...it is a popular place!

This lovely restaurant is totally understated & we passed it many times on the road without realising what a treat was in store! The wide varanda is open sided with the most spectacular views across the bay & stunning sunsets. The food is excellent & good value & nothing was too much trouble for our party of 14 who turned up without a booking due to a misunderstanding. We had to wait for a table but this did not prove too much of a problem after a run punch or two!
