We loved our stay at Stonefield. The view from our villa was the best I’ve ever had and the private pool was amazing. All of the staff were so friendly. The continental breakfast everyday was more than enough food and the homemade bread and jams and fruit were delicious. There are a few things that could improve such as the beds and pillows. The pillows are very thick and hurt our necks, and the mattress was pretty hard . Also, the villas need more weather proofing or caulk around the doors and windows . We had a line of ants in our bathroom every day, and some in our kitchen . Make sure you don’t leave crumbs anywhere! We loved the outdoor shower , we had a treefrog and snail in there which was an experience! Overall, a very good value for the money!

Thank you for choosing Stonefield Resort for your getaway. We are happy to learn that overall you received good value for money and that you appreciated the majestic views at Stonefield which can take your breath away. We're sorry you did not find comfort in the pillows and mattress and we have certainly taken note of this. We are currently replacing some of the mattresses in the villas which should alleviate this issue. The core of our brand is the naturalness of the environment so there will be some harmless friends of nature wanting to share your space. We look forward to hosting you both very soon again.

If you want to disconnect and refresh your spirit, Stonefield Resort is definitely a great choice. We spent four days in Hibiscus Villa and if we had chosen not to move around the property we would have felt entirely alone in paradise.

Note that rooms do not have televisions, which is the whole idea of disconnecting and focusing inward; however there is excellent WiFi everywhere, if you insist on bringing electronic devices. All the views are amazing and you really won't want to be looking at anything else.

Once you enter the quaint main door to your cottage area, you are in your own little world. Our cottage was right next to the rain forest area and all we heard was the sound of birds and night insects. The cottage had a well-sized private plunge pool, a hammock, loungers and rocking chairs on the wide verrandah. Note that the resort is located in a forested location so there are birds, lizards, grasshoppers around. Nothing harmful! However, the cottages are well sealed with A/C and you can certainly keep these creatures outdoors.

The inside is spacious with a comfortable mosquito-netted King-sized bed and a cool wooden floor. There is a kitchenette with small refrigerator so you can keep snacks and not leave your room if you don't feel like it.

The restaurant is perfectly located and the food is very good, although there is not an extensive variety of choices. Nonetheless, despite many dining options in the area, we were quite happy to eat there everyday. The gym is well-equipped and there is a yoga area. My full body massage at the spa was divine. Everywhere, there are just breath-taking views. We enjoyed walking along the little forest trail on the property and just breathing in the air among the towering trees.

There is a lot to do in the Soufriere area where the resort is located and you are a short distance away from the drive-in volcano and sulphur baths; but if you simply want to just unplug from the world and re-energize, this is the place.

Room Tip: Hibiscus Villa at the very edge of the forest is amazing.

Dear Dequanna,

Ever so often, one of our guests provides testimony in their review that really warms our heart. The authenticity of your comments was so becoming, that we would wish to borrow a phrase or two to add to our repertoire of phrases to describe our brand. You provided new meaning to Stonefield. Thank you so much for this valuable feedback and thank you for the appreciation of our unique brand, where, like you said you can simply unplug from the world and re-energize. We will be honoured to host you again whenever you find that need to "disconnect and refresh your spirit".

Let me first say we have been to different areas of Mexico, Aruba, St Thomas/St John, Jamaica, Punta Cana and St Lucia is HANDS DOWN THE BEST VACATION we have taken. And Stonefield is what put it at the top of our list. We were in St Lucia for our wedding anniversary and split our week up between an all inclusive north in Gros Islet and Stonefield. Let me tell you I wish we would have stayed at Stonefield the entire time. from the time we checked in to the time we checked out we felt the staff was wonderful. It was Paradise. The room was just beautiful and the views were to die for! Being from the US it took us a minute to get used to not having a tv in the room, but there is so much to do on the island we quickly forgot about the electric video box. We at most of our meals at the Mango restaurant and is was delicious!! We did not have a bad meal....and I big shout out to Skeeter and Verita. These 2 ladies are a gem at Stonefield and made us feel so special. everyone at the resort went out of there way to accommodate us. the day of our anniversary sent a bottle on wine and fruit and cheese. we booked all of our excursions right through the hotel, they just made everything easy and had a large variety to choose from. the location is great because you are so close to so many activites: volcano/mud baths, botanical garden/diamond waterfalls, sugar beach....I could just go on and on. the only negative......we couldn't stay longer. we are already making arrangements for 2019.

Room Tip: if you are older or not as physically active i would recommend a room closer to the top of the hill by the restaurant.

We are overjoyed to part of your anniversary memories. Once again we extend congratulations to you and your husband. We really value the wonderful comments you recorded and we're thrilled that you had a complete appreciation for our brand of escaping and relaxing, including the no TV in room. We are as eager to host you again, as you are to repeat your visit with us in 2019. See you both then.

We booked this hotel with high hopes however we were disappointed during and after our stay. We felt the attention to details was missing on every level and interactions we had was missing the final touch to make the customer happy.

Room - we stayed at the One Bedroom Ocean View Villa Bamboo. It felt extremely outdated, not very clean when looked at in detail... somewhat depressing. The shower head had years worth of white stuff accumulated on it, the windows were probably never cleaned, the terrace was never mopped.... bird/lizard poop on almost all the seats on the terrace. The pool floors paint had come off... There was a plate of welcome cookies on the table but they were rock hard and we could not even eat them.

We wanted a relaxing environment to enjoy when we came back from the beach etc so we decided to move to another hotel. The Manager offered us a better room starting the next day... And said she will stop by our room and look at the issues we brought up. Even the next day, the shower head was dirty, bird poop on chairs etc... We decided to move to another hotel and the Stonefield Manager said she would refund our un-stayed nights -- which we were thankful for.

At the checkout I asked for a credit memo, some type of confirmation of how much we would get back and I was told manager is not here so they could not get us anything... The person I was talking to did not even care... They knew we were going to check out so I was surprised... but none the less I called them 3 more times... it's been 12 days and we still have no confirmation or the $$s back in our bank account.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, amazing views which was about it....

Room Tip: Do not stay in Villa Bamboo

Dear Ozge,

We are really sorry that this vacation did not measure up to your expectations, and we sincerely apologise for the housekeeping and service failures and any inconvenience you and your partner experienced. Unfortunately, we are not affliated with Sugay Bay and this misunderstanding appears to be the genesis of the uneasiness and lack of trust thereafter. As such, when one thing goes wrong at the outset, everything appears in the same light. Having said that, we have made every effort to fix the issues you highlighted, which we value, to make sure that Bamboo returns to its original status. As you indicated we agreed the refund the unused nights and that obligation has been honoured according to our banking records and our reservations office has also been in communication with you regarding same. We thank you for recognising our location and "amazing" views.
