This is not a luxurious hotelt with all the amenities of a high end resort. It is a rustic get-away where the frogs peep at night and the birds sing at dawn. It is in the top of the rain forest with lush foliage, mangos dropping fruit ripe for breakfast and nothing to disturb the sounds of nature.
The pool is lovely surrounded by the rain forest, warm and welcoming. The main house where we stayed has one toilet on the floor with the bedrooms and another on the main floor, it's all very relaxed.
The showers are outside in a small shower house.
It is easily reached by taxi from either the ferry (book in advance) or the airport, only minutes away. A car would make exploring the island easier but can't be brought from the mainland so either rent a car in VIeques or take taxis. It is a small island so they aren't that expensive.
We stayed in the main house, there are other more private cottages that I can't speak about but the location and amenities will be rustic, the charm and location fantastic.More
