We stayed in Tradewinds for a night when we were in Vieques. The location of this hotel is perfect - it is right on one end of Malecon and is close by to the bars and restaurants. The bio-bay tour pick up/ drop of is just right in front of the hotel as well. The view of the bay from the restaurant is awesome. The hotel offers free wi-fi which works fine in their restaurant area. The continental breakfast was included with our room rent and is served from 7:00 am. The breakfast consisting of bagel/croissant, fruits, cereal, juice, coffee, tea was quite sufficient. The towels for the beach are available from their office. The check out time is at 11 am but we were running a little late that morning; the staff was kind enough to let us use the room for a little longer.
We only had one issue in this hotel - the toilet kept getting clogged up and towards the end it was no longer usable. We were in the room only for a night; so we somehow managed.

We spent three nights here in room 3. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and everything functioned. It was a bit dark since it's long and narrow and the only windows are in the bathroom and the door to the shared deck. But that didn't matter because we were only there to sleep and shower. The rest of the time you want to be outdoors!

We enjoyed the continental breakfast, with a nice combination of breads, fruits, cereal, juice, etc. to build into a substantial meal. It's served in the restaurant overlooking the water, too, so there's a lovely view. The staff were unfailingly polite, friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

The location, and one end of the malecon, was perfect for us. Within an easy stroll of the bars and restaurants along the strip, while still quiet being on the end. The shared deck on our level had a partial view of the water, and was a pleasant place to relax at the end of the day.

Room Tip: Check the website where you can view the exact configuration of each room and select accordingly.

The staff was very very friendly! Especially David! We got our days mixed up and missed the date that we were supposed to check in. He went above and beyond and made arrangements so we could stay with them. He also make sure we could still go on the bio bay tour which was a breathtaking experience! The guest house is not fancy, but I loved that is was so clean! Thank you guys for treating us like family!. Love Vieques.

Simple, clean rooms. Really, that's all you need, since all your time will be spent on the beach! You can tell the place is aging, but it is clean and comfortable. My biggest complaint is that the shower never got warm. The owners are super helpful and nice people.

This place was so perfect.... perfect location across the street from a walkway bordering the water very nice to take a stroll... just down the street from a few good homey bars and restaurants without the extreme bar nightlife feel. The staff and owners were all so very nice and helpful and the room (Room 02) was a pleasant surprise.. loved it way better than the Wyndham at Grand Rio where we stayed while in PR reminded me of going to see family in Colombia when I was growing up no TV in the room just a very relaxing painting of the ocean view on the wall it had one very large bed pretty comfortable and a small bed in the corner that felt like sleeping in the clouds you may think were crazy but my bf and I fought over who got to sleep on the small bed but we never sleep away from each other so of course the only logical thing to do was to snuggle a little tighter and sleep on the small bed together best sleep we've both had in a long while. Then the back door opens up to a shared patio with the two other rooms on each side of us and although it wasn't a clear direct view of the ocean if you sit on the border by the wall its just a perfect view of the water and boats and flowers perfect to enjoy our quiet morning coffee and continental breakfast... It was heaven for us!

Room Tip: cant say for the other rooms but we had room 02 and it was perfect for us
