The place is very famous among university students. I recommend the mofongo and also the pizza. It's a very friendly environment.

Every time we go to Mayagüez this is a stop. It's amazing and cheap. The sorullitos I love. And the mofongo con caldo is wonderful. Great for kids, casual dining and students.

Fast service and tasty food. We didn't have any king of problems. The food was right on spot. Waiters were quick even though the restaurant was pack full.

Sancho Panza Pizzeria used to be my go-to-eating place, FOR YEARS. Not anymore. They specialize on Pizza, Calzoni (note that in Italian the plural for calzone is NOT calzones...), and criollo "Mofongo con Caldo y Carne" (mashed green plantain with chicken or vegetable stock on the side, and fried pork, also on the side). I, however, noticed that their mozzarella cheese was becoming too processed, causing food allergies. Also, they started making their mofongo in a non-traditional way: it seems that the plantain is put on a food processor, completely changing - and ruining - the texture, and making it into a dry and scratchy ball of inedible bark. It has been months since I went there. I hope they have improved these boo-boos...
