I cannot say enough good things about this boutique hotel that is right in the heart of old San Juan. It is close to many restaurants, many right on the same block. Upon arrival we were told we had been upgraded to the Presidential Suite on the top floor. It was absolutely gorgeous and so spacious, with a huge balcony. The staff at this hotel were topnotch and so accommodating. I have to mention the great service given by Jamie and the other 2 girls that were on duty. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: Presidential Suite is very quiet.

Excellent option in old San Juan. Chose a queen room which was on 5th floor at rear, stayed two nights prior to cruise. Well appointed room, small fridge, nice ensuite and very comfy bed. The breakfast was good, you can order eggs to be cooked to your preference, and coffee was made on demand (nice espresso) rather than usual bland American coffee which is the case in most hotels with large US clientele. The hotel is well situated with the free local trolley stop 3 just outside the front door, with great restaurants in close walking distance (Marmalade for dinner, amazing! and Cafe El Punto for lunch - great fish tacos and mofongo). We also found a great laundromat on Cnr del Sol and De La Cruz to wash dry and fold (great service and price, $11 for a full load) which was a few blocks away and very convenient. But probably the highlight was the friendly and extremely helpful staff - both during and beyond our stay. From check in, answering any questions, calling trusted cabs for transfers, and storing bags after our cruise when we weren't even registered guests - we can't can speak more highly of their team. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend his hotel - a smaller more friendly boutique style hotel than the cookie cutter 5 star options - and it would definitely be our first option if visiting San Juan. If it was likely that we would visit San Juan again (fabulous spot but a trek from Oz) we would probably keep this gem to ourselves rather than share this review with you all!

We will definitely return to this hotel - they were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. We arrived at 11am and they held our luggage until our room was ready, gave us a map and water, and gave us ideas on the wonderful places to visit. The girl at the front desk showed us where the tram stop was located and recommended restaurants and activities. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint about the room is that the balcony door is not sealed properly and all of the street noise echoes into the room - late night walkers were loud and the garbage trucks were banging and clanking constantly. On our next visit, we will sleep with the television on all night to drown it out.

My only other complaint is that the breakfast was a bit strange - perhaps it is normal in PR; however, they only had a few choices of food and the coffee was extremely strong. When I asked for cream, the girl provided me with a pitcher of powdered creamer.

The taxi stand for the cruise terminal was a half-block away. The hotel had many restaurants very closely located and sidewalk cafes right outside. The Harley Davidson shop was one block away as well. Many conveniences and we will definitely return!

Room Tip: I think all of the rooms are loud - bring earplugs and keep the television on

Rooms were nice and clean, walking distance from all restaurants and shopping areas. Staff was welcoming and always available. Girls at front desk gave us a map and circled all the go to places...very helpful! I highly recommend

We booked the Cervantes for a one night stay prior to departing on a cruise as this hotel is located right in the Old San Juan district and two blocks from the pier. (However, my mistake was that this pier is where CARNIVAL cruises depart from). If you are taking a Royal Caribbean cruise, those ships depart from the Candado section (10 min taxi away and not walking distance). But regardless, this was a great stay as the staff was very attentive and friendly, the location was great for walking about Old San Juan and they upgraded us to the Presidential Suite which occupies the entire 6th floor. The elevator opens and you are in a luxurious penthouse with separate bedroom and private balcony. See photos. This was the best room I have ever stayed in and my family and I really enjoyed it!
