Stayed here one night prior to departing on a cruise. Due to hurricane destruction, the entire hotel was running on generator power for electricity, AC, WiFi, etc. so supposed we should consider ourselves lucky to have found a room at all.
Room was tiny/cramped with a path around the bed to the bathroom and the door. Two people with luggage is very cozy. One suitcase went on top of desk, and one on floor since there is no other space to put them.
Hotel is older and shopworn, with that Caribbean smell of mold.
Positives: staff tried hard to please, a good/varied buffet breakfast is included, room had mini fridge and microwave oven. located downtown a few blocks from a beach area.
Negatives: hotel is older, and has no curb appeal at all. Hotel is full of emergency workers so the staff is run off their feet trying to keep up. Pool is very small.
Would I stay here again - not willingly, but due to emergency situation going on in San Juan and across the island, it will do.More
