A great quiet place to spend the day at the beach. Plenty of restaurants within waling distance, and lots of friendly people. Its not as busy as Condado, but that's a good thing.

At night, there are streetlights close by and a lot of people walking by or sitting under a palm tree watching the stars. Get your picnic basket and spend some time close to the sea with the sound of the waves and the twinkle of the stars. You will feel safe and enchanted.

Since I'm staying in the Ocean Park area while here for disaster relief efforts, I went to this beach to get some alone time. The beach was not in the best condition, with debris, mostly vegetation, in the area after the recent hurricane. There were not many people on the beach itself, but the adjacent jogging path is quite popular with the locals. The waves were small, the breeze was light, and this was a nice place to take a breather in the midst of Maria's devastation.

The ocean was wild on the day we came here, there was no one swimming, only a few people braving the winds for a walk on the beach. Hard to imagine that this is a local swimming beach as the waves were big and rough. The local area is well landscaped and the parks are lovely. Lots of restaurants and eateries not far from here also.

A local beach mainly visited by locals and you won't see many tourists. There are almost no restaurants (i know 2 near the water) and bars in the area so you have to bring your own for everything (water, drinks, cups, etc). If you want to exercise, there is a 400 meter track and a lot of people jog there.
In general, the beach is clean and a nice place to relax on the weekends. Bring your beach chairs and shade, since there are very few places to get any shade.
