We've been to SWO many times and are always amazed by its beauty. The resort itself is gorgeous, with lush landscape, pristine beaches and crystal blue ocean. The staff is beyond exceptional. Everyone strives to make their guests a priority. The butler service is extraordinary (thank you Jerome & Travis)!
SWO offers something for everyone from those who are seeking a quiet and relaxing spot to those who enjoy a more energetic environment. The accommodations are very comfortable with fabulous balcony views. There are several dining options offering international fare. The breakfast and lunch buffets are plentiful. Oceana and Seaside offer excellent luncheon choices, as well. Our favorite spots for evening dining are Portofino, Oceana and Himitsu, although the other restaurants offer delicious menu choices as well. Activities go on throughout the day and the evening entertainment is always enjoyable. We highly recommend this resort for a special, unforgettable vacation.

This year we stayed at Breathless next to this resort. We didn't see any rooms but liked the option of going to the restaurants and entertainment here. The food was creative and tasty at each of the restaurants we dined. We spent time at their beach also. There's hardly any waiters walking around for drink service but there are small bars and grills along the long beach so it's not far to go. The seating areas along the beach vary in furniture and styles which made it more interesting.
Also next door is the resort Secrets St. James. All of the restaurants and beaches were shared by the three resorts. However the beach is long and the bars/grills are enough to support everyone. The first night we ate at a Secrets restaurant I was worried about lines with so many people. We either ate before 7pm or after 8:30 and didn't stand in line for more the 5 minutes. We didn't see if there were lines but we were told peak times were 7 to 8.
If we come back we will check into this resort.

Spectacular view of the ocean and the resorts pool area! Staff hosted many fun and interesting activities every day. Restaurants were really good. The food variety at the buffet was awesome. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed having a café on site that was included as well as an ice cream machine. Loved the smoked meat carts! It was great having local craftsmen / art come to the resort for the guests to go shopping.

Room Tip: Loved the balcony

My wife and I wanted to try a resort in MoBay because the ride to Ocho is just to long after spending the day traveling. We chose Secrets Wild Orchid based on reviews and we’re glad we did. The property is shared by sister resort St. James and at first a bit intimidating, but after walking around and taking it all in we warmed up to it very nicely.
We started out in Wild Orchid with a nice room and great views but then wound up upgrading to St. James Preferred for reasons to lengthy to add here. what can be said is that the transition to the new accommodation was very professional, fast and flawless with nothing but true professionalism shown, and the room was unbelievable. The entire week we were there we felt like family.
Overall the resorts are very clean, the food exceptional and the entire staff extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. Our concierge who checked us in at the start was Emiko Blythe. Emiko didn’t just check us in but was there to answer all of our questions. Whenever she seen us on the grounds she would greet us with a hug and a big beautiful smile that shines as bright as the sun itself. Emiko is truly an asset to this resort. We know we’ll be back next year and Emiko will be one of the biggest reasons for our return. We also met Donovan and Sharine during our stay and once again felt like we were coming home to family. Our hats off to all of the employees at Wild Orchid and St. James as they all made our stay feel more like a home coming and not just another vacation. We now feel like we have family in Jamaica and can’t wait to get back.

Secrets Wild Orchid is a perfect place to vacation. We stayed in the Preferred Club Jr Suite for 6 days. The staff always went above and beyond to provide excellent service, with one Preferred Club staff member Matthew even remembering our name. The Preferred Club room was absolutely beautiful. The pool was less lively then the main pool, they had a nicer beach, had great severs to bring you drinks etc, and the little cafe inside was great for snacks and an afternoon coffee or espresso. Ordering room service on the in-room iPad was also a nice touch! Well worth the upgrade fee in our opinion. The food at the resort was all so good. Our favorite meal was the private dinner. The food was outstanding, the server was very nice, and the ambiance was absolutely romantic. It was well worth the extra fee. Our other favorite meals were at the Italian restaurant and the hibachi. The hibachi was fun and the staff cooking and singing was very memorable. We were thoroughly stuffed when we left! The Jerk chicken cart was perfect for an afternoon snack and when it came back out at night it was also wonderful for a midnight bite. When we wanted some fun we headed over to the Piano bar and when that closed for the night we made our way to the after hours club. Both very enjoyable, fun, and lively. Perfect to have a blast.

As you can probably tell from this long review we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Secrets Wild Orchid. We cannot thank our travel agent Ruth DeMuth (of TripGuy Travel) enough for recommending not only Secrets but Jamaica as well. She made the entire booking process quick and painless and we did not have to worry about a thing during our trip.

Room Tip: If you arrive early bring a change of clothes so you can enjoy exploring the property - your room won't be ready for a while!
