We stayed here with two children 2 and 4 years old. The hotel is 45 minutes from the airport. Our first impression of the family room was that it is spacious but unfortunately it was opposite to the entertainment stage, not ideal with young kids. We were offered another room at a more silent building and also a superior family room at beach side for 250 US dollar more (normally it costed 50 $ per person per night extra). We took the latter, which made our holiday really fantastic; superb view at the palm beach. The room was a little bit bigger even, but as all rooms couldn't be closed from outside so going out with babymonitor wasn't safe. The rooms are clean, the airconditioning worked well but was a little bit moisty on the floor. We had fantastic beds and didn't have any problems with our pillows. The beach, swimming pool and garden are beautiful and tropical. Though one time a hotelguest had vomited near the swimmingpool suitable for children and it took us 3 employees to have a look at it before it was cleaned. The entertainmentteam was present during the day as well but not in a annoying way. Unlike other people stated we weren't bothered by the boys from Cayena at all, unless you think it is bothering when they ask were you are from and leave it with that question if they notice you are not interested. Somehow they manage to keep the place bugfree, since we saw hardly any insects although there was enough marmelade and honey at the buffets to be interesting. The food was very good and various (I really wonder what people want expect if they say it is not), though we recommend that you eat in themes since otherwise youd do have the feeling that is every day the same with soup, spaghetti, pizza, rice, potatoes, french fries, meat, fish and vegetables. The climate is great, we had only 4 hours of rainshowers and furthermore 25 degrees Celcius at night and 29-30 C during the day.
Do: We went on the free catamarantrip with our kids (30 minutes) and it was great.
We would certainly go back there.

We (group of 13) visited Lti from Feb 25/07 until Mar 4/07 for a wedding. The consensus by all was an amazing time, even shed a little tear when I left. We were a mixed group, young to old, married, single, newly dating. We all found something to do. I found everyone very friendly and loved hanging out at the bar where the entertainment was held ( I forget the name ) Made many new friends and would reccomend to anyone.

We just came home last night from LTI Punta Cana Feb 21-27th. Prior to my leaving I read the reviews and have to admit that I was scared about the place, so many mixed reviews.
I would have to agree that this is a max 4* hotel. The rooms were OK. You have to pay for the safe ($2 US per day) and you have to pay for the remote! We did not know that, we would not have anyway.
The pillows are terrible in the room and there are NO faceclothes, and the towels are old and worn, but the rooms are clean.
We found the food very good and plentiful. There is a big selection of food and the stirfry is great, as well as the pasta. There are plenty of fruit , tomatoes, cucumbers and salad and a lunch a complete salad bar.
There service however is not good and I did not find the staff overly friendly.
We have gone to Cuba for the past three years, Cayo Coco, Veradero and Playa Pasquero, and the food is better in DR, but the people are not nearly as friendly.
We did a day trip, Bavaro Runners, it was great, but our last stop on the trip was to a general store and it was only to give money or candy to the local kids (that part I did not like at all).
We went to the a-la-carte restaurant three times and twice we ordered extra off the menu. I had prawns which were excellent, around a dozen and the total was $8 US. Every Friday and Monday they have lobster which is $22 US, we did not try it.
I really hated the fact that they are ALWAYS pushing for you to visit the Cayenna club, time sharing. The guys stand outside the main buffet and wait for you to leave the building, around three guys at each exit. We must have been asked 15 times and just said NO thankyou!
Outside the compound there is alot of garbage and the roads are terrible.
The beach is absolutely beautiful, we walked everyday 10 km and still did not walk the whole beach.
I would go back to PUnta cana, but probably not this resort.

If you like food, don't stay here, because you will hate the food there. It will make you sick, and it tastes aweful! BEWARE!!!
