Great service, beautiful resort!!
Wonderful place to stay! Can't wait to go back!!

The staff were excellent!! Marlenia Belliard and Diana Mejia have not worked at the resort for very long, but they act as they have! They go out of their way to that extra to make your stay even better!! See them in the morning at the Gabi Restaurant and at night at the Aqua and Japanese Restaurants.

Juan Tiren, Juan Bautisto, Alexander Ozuna do a great job, as well!!

Roger Rodriguez works very hard to make your stay a great one!! You will know him by his great smile!! See him in the Gabi Restaurant!!

Room Tip: The Master Suites are amazing. Get one on the lower level so you can swim up to your suite!!

Visiting Punta Cana has been a dream vacation for me and it met all of my expectations. We stayed at the Reserve, but had access to this hotel and their main hotel as well which was an extra incentive. All the employees were so nice and welcoming, and greeted us every time they saw us no matter what they were doing. The pools are huge, and they have many cabanas throughout the resort available for people to use. They also provide a great list of activities, but we didn't get to any of them because I was content being at the cool or at the beautiful beach reading my book and with a cocktail in hand. It was wonderful to have easy access to order food anytime you wanted to. There are many restaurants available to choose from, including breakfast and lunch buffets that you didn't have to worry about going hungry. We made friends with a few employees during our stay, and they were truly kind to us. Juan Recio was the day time bartender at "Gabi Club" and his "special" drinks were my most favorite ever! Felix Sanchez was the evening/night time bartender at "Gabi Club" and always made it fun & entertaining. Last but not least, one the pool employees, Juan Bautista, was so friendly and attentive. All 3 employees really went over & beyond and they left an impression on us that we will never forget. Each one of them made us feel like family and it was such a pleasure to get to know them. That's one important memory we left with was the kindness of the people in Punta Cana, DR. They were always so happy and singing while they were working. We felt that happy energy all day long and we loved everything about this vacation. Truly a memorable trip and best birthday vacation ever! I hope to return one day.

Room Tip: Patio screen door must be closed in order to turn the air conditioner on.

We stayed at the Reserve Paradisus Palma Real for 5 days on an all inclusive basis and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a master bedroom with garden. The property was huge with almost private pools for each block of rooms. There were 2 jacuzzi in our room, a big dining and living room and 2 very comfortable queen sized beds. Housekeeping services were very efficient. There was free WiFi but reception weakened as you moved away from the reception area. You can borrow the cable for internet connection if WiFi doesn’t work in the room. Guests staying at the Reserve can enjoy all facilities and restaurants at Paradisus Palma Real but not vice versa. Difference being guests at the Reserve are mostly MAS time sharing owners. The hardware in the hotel was almost perfect but software (people skill) needs a lot of improvement.

Language was a major problem as even the concierge’s English were very limited. How can one imagine hotel staff doesn’t understand the word ‘sight-seeing’? The concierge service at the Reserve was ‘hit and miss’ as mentioned in another review. Not all of the guests were being assigned a concierge but whenever we need help, we were being asked who our concierge was. We were being told guests at Premium will enjoy priority treatment but that wasn’t the case. We requested the concierge to make a dinner reservation for us but we were told to call an extension number ourselves due to a central booking system. You basically have to book 2 days in advance to secure the table. Overall, staff at the Reserve was not enthusiastic nor helpful. On the contrary, staff at the main hotel was very helpful, especially Kathir and Jordy.

There were several free activities (yoga, pilates, snorkeling etc.) offered by the hotel but again booking has to be made well in advance. We had requested a concierge to book the snorkeling trip for us but upon checking in, our booking wasn’t there and we couldn’t join as we were leaving the following day. Attitude of staff at the snorkeling center was unwelcoming either. After booking the excursions via the concierge, make sure you get the receipt as proof of booking.

Food at the Reserve was slightly better than the restaurants in the main lobby but you cannot expect best quality on an all inclusive basis. The Teppanyaki restaurant was very popular and the chef mingled well with guests. However, how could he cook chicken, mussels, prawns and beef all for the same duration. As a result, the beef was way overcooked and again, it was the lack of staff training issue. One evening we had dinner booking at the seafood restaurant but when we asked a staff at another restaurant, he replied there was no seafood restaurant in the hotel. In addition, quality of wines/cocktails made by bartenders was inconsistent among the several restaurants in the hotel complex. Nevertheless, the golf cart drivers were the most friendly, polite and helpful staff at the hotel.

I visited the reserve for a wedding and was blown away by the hotel. It is modern, spacious and absolutely gorgeous! My room had its own tiki hut with a bed in the backyard! I was in a one bedroom suite with a very large bathroom. The food at Gabbi Beach was the best in my opinion. It was diffucult to get reservations at other restaurants because they did not have availability, but we were very happy at Gabbi. The casino is disappointing, but there were a few people in there losing their money.lol Who goes there to gamble anyway? They beach was beautiful. Take advantage of the free snorkle cruise. We saw so many colorful fish! We also took out the catamaran which was a lot of fun. We weren't interested in leaving the hotel since there really isn't much to do outside so we just stayed on property. Overall a very relaxing vacation and a beaultiful location for a beach wedding.

We stayed at the Garden View Suite, living room, kitchen and separate bedroom, jacuzzi on patio. Very clean and amazing views. Our 5 year old had a great time at Kids Zone, the staff is friendly and attentive, the kids eat lunch and dinner there also. The kids have all kinds of activities to keep them entertained. The Gabi Beach restaurant is great for breakfast, lunch, dinner. We ate lunch at the Hydro Grill near pool one day and it was fresh. We only ate at the Teppanaki restaurant (japanese) one night and it was great also. The tried the Vento (mediterranian) at the main hotel Paradisus Palma Real but it was disappointing, portions are very small and blant taste. The pools at the Reserve are great, Juan Bautista made our drinks every day, he was a fun guy to talk to also. Tipping is a must if you want good service so get a bundle of ones with you and it's worth it, these people work hard! The resorts have golf carts or mini vans to take you back and fourth which is less than 3-5 min. wait and distance is 2-3 minutes. Our stay at the Reserve was after Thanksgiving and also cheaper than the main hotel Paradisus Palma Real. If you book these 2 go to their main website www.solmelia.com because they guarantee the lowest price and it's true!!!! We had an excellent time at both resorts but Reserve is newer and better!

Dear guest,

Receive our warmest greetings from Punta Cana.

It is a truly pleasure for us to learn you have enjoyed your stay with us. I would like to apologize for not completely fulfilling your expectations, you can be sure it was never our intention to disappoint you in any way.

I feel proud and grateful for your compliments on the efforts and dedication demonstrated by our Kids Zone staff and Juan Bautista. It is thanks to our excellent team that we are able to accomplish our goal - the total satisfaction of our guests. I will gladly pass on your compliments to each of them.

Regarding to the quality of the food in the Vento restaurant, I am rather surprised because carefully selected products compose our gastronomical supply, taking into consideration the diversity of clients who visit our hotel. I must say that the level of satisfaction obtained concerning the quality and variety of this restaurant has always been very elevated according to the opinions reflected in our quality questionnaires. Nevertheless, receive our sincere apologies and you may rest assured that your comments will be taken into consideration.

Once again, thank you for your valuable comments, and I hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
