Don't waste your money at this terribly ran resort. Half of the resort was closed. They were doing maintenance on the main pool so we couldn't swim there and had to walk a mile to get to another pool. Only 2 restaurants were open a night and they wouldn't let you choose where you wanted to go. Alcohol was 95% watered down. Did not receive cleaning service 1 of the days we were there. There was a rain storm 1 night and after the storm we had 1" of water on our hotel room floor. Upon arrival, there was a used shower cap still hanging in the shower and there was no toilet paper. Tried ordering food at the beach at 11:00 and was told we had to wait until 12:30. Waited over an hour for each drink ordered while on the beach. The casino people were very rude and angry because we won about $200.00. We upgraded to "Royal Service".....what a waste!!!!!! This was by far the worst all inclusive experience I've ever had. Will not return to this property again. Hard Rock will be getting our business in the future.

Room Tip: Don't upgrade to Royal Service!!

m bar is beyond incredible. Hermes has been the best above and beyond. We truly appreciate and recommend him!. Service beats none!!! anything you want or need they are there for you! we have never been happier with the service with hermes he mad our trip the best vacation ever we will come back just for him

Arrived on Friday at 12:00PM was checked in and upgraded to the Royal Services Section and Given A End Unit which included a Hot Tub And Side Window(Great Room &Location) The Food For Dinner Was A La Carte and included 12 Restaurants! The Beach Is The Best With Shallow Clear Blue Water And No Coral or Sea Shells WOW! All The Staff There Were Superb And Well Trained. You will be greeted with a smile andGreat Attitude! Plenty of shade and loungers!! Huge Hotel With Plenty To Do!! Paradisus Is A Great Chain Of Resorts,Love Them!

It was a great decision for us to stay at the Royal Service in Paradisus. Upon arrival we met our Butler, Nikel Lendor. To our surprise, he informed us right away that we were upgraded to the master suite. Nikel has been the BEST Butler we've ever had since vacationing in DR for the past 5 years. Nikel defines Royal in Royal Service Paradisus! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable by visiting us at our spot on the beach every single day we were there.
Ramon, at the Royal lounge was great, he made us feel at home and made great drinks for us. He was all over the place. Very nice guy.
The guy's at the Royal Pool and Beach Section Rannelli, Quirilio and Juan Cruz were awesome. They made our Bali Beds every morning and made sure the drinks were always flowing. They made us feel like royalty.
Want to thank the guys at Gaby Beach - Willy, Edwar, Joel, Luis always there with smiles and ready to serve. Thanks for the expresso and sambuca every night.
Want to thank my two friends that brought me coconuts to the beach every morning. Don't have their names, but I put a picture of them.
This resort is definitely in a league of it's own. The best service and the food was to die for. Royal Service is the Best..

We visited PPC Oct 7-12 in Royal Service. During this time the resort was going through some upgrades and the main pool and some restaurants were closed. While we probably would have stuck to the Royal Service pool, I was disappointed in not having all the restaurant options. We still had an excellent time, even with a few days of bad rain.

The grounds were lush and so nice! We did have to take a train to go around, but they were usually not that long of a wait.

Royal Service: Sigfredo was our Butler and he was so fun! Made our reservations, surprised us with wine and rose petals, loved it. We also enjoyed the Royal Service lounge and the open bar with top shelf drinks. My favorite part was the RS pool area and cabanas! Traveling during the off-season made it easy to have a cabana bed every day of our trip. The bartenders at the pool/swim up bar were excellent. Rannelly, Juan Cruz, and Jose Luis were the best.

Restaurants: We ate dinner at La Palapa, Fuego, Vento, The Grill, and had a complimentary meal at Passion (7 dish tasting menu because we stayed over 5 days). We mostly ate lunch at Gabi Beach buffet just for the immediacy of food ready! Also ordered room service a couple times. Service was great at all restaurants, all wait staff was friendly. Since some of the restaurants closed, some of the staff worked in multiple restaurants so we got to see some of the same people. They remembered us and were so friendly!

Circle Tour: You may be approached to go on a tour to Paradisus Palma Real to see the new hotel for Circle members. Yep, a timeshare type of tour. We went and had lunch at PPR (which their buffet was great) and in exchange for the presentation (ab 3 hours) we were able to choose between a dinner at Passion (which we already had arranged because of our booking), a massage, or a free dolphin excursion. We chose the dolphin excursion and it was worth the tour!

I was really wondering the difference between PPC and PPR before booking, and by going on the Circle tour I saw that PPR did seem more modern, newer, and a bit more luxurious feel. I didn’t see the rooms, but the main areas were nice!

Speaking of massage, check with the spa to see if there are any specials. I think they have both seasonal and daily specials- I was able to do a 50 min massage and a 25 min facial for $150ish w/ tax. Not too bad for resort prices, especially since a massage itself is $120 full price.

All in all, fun times! We enjoyed and would definitely come back. October is a great time to go, but of course there’s the chance of the hurricanes to worry about.
