We stayed at Villa Carolisol for our first time in the Dominican and were SO impressed with this villa! Lots of room for our 8 person group! The location is steps away from the beach and a short drive into Puerto Plata.
Our "chefs", Maria and Sanda, were wonderful! We were SO spoiled with their cooking that we found any of the local restaurants to be sub par. The girls tidied the villa daily and made sure we always had clean towels for the pool or beach.
Would go back in a heartbeat!!

First off let me say that this place is absolutely unique from any other place in cofresi.
Lets start with the owner Gary Champagne. A very kind and accomodating man. His staff also lives him. Lets face it good people make any situation better.
He was very helpful and honest on the phone. Once we decided on renting the villa he met us in person and introduced us to Maria (love her) and Jose (so helpful). Maria and Jose take care of your every need while at the villa. I love to cook and appreciate great food. Maria is an amazing cook. Very healthy approach to cooking. Jose keeps the pool sparkly and the grounds beautiful.
The rooms are huge and comfortable. The villa is fully stocked with linens, pool toys, beach and bath towels...everything u may need if u were in your own home. There is great attention paid to detail at villa carolisol. The house is completely spanish style. Very airy spacious and charming. Its a great house for families or large groups. The front balcony has full furniture and even curtains for added outdoor privacy.
The pool is always clean and has enough sunshine to get it to the perfect temp, plus enough shade to prolong your fun.
I looked at a few newer villas in the area, and tho they were new, they lacked charm and personality. Lets face it they dont make them like they used to. After my initial one night stay that turned into two, i vame back for a second visit. This time i stayed for 3 nights! And im looking fwd to our next stay sometime next year. I think villa carolisol will be an annual vacay for my family and I. Thank you Gary, Maria and Jose you all give heart and soul to this amazing villa.
