Visited Dominica for the first time with a group of about 20 divers from all over America members of SingleDivers.com. The hotel is clean and comfortable with 'thick walls' or quiet rooms. All staff from hotel, to restaurant to Dive shop was extremely friendly and accommodating. The boat captain and dive masters were top notch, totally took care of our dive gear between dives, our gear magically appeared on the boat rinsed and ready every morning. Dive sites were top notch. DM Brenton was very helpful in getting me oriented and checked out for lionfish hunting.

Just returned from a week long dive trip where we stayed at Castle Comfort Dive Lodge. This was a lovely place to stay, very relaxing! Food was very good. The lodge staff were exceptionally nice and helpful and there to accommodate you in any way they could.
The dive staff was excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They did not take us to any site that was disappointing. I
The reefs were beautiful!!

Room Tip: Rooms further from the street are a little quieter.

Hotel looked fine but cannot really comment as all we did was drop in to the restaurant. The view from the seating area is over the harbour similar to the two neighbouring hotels. Quite fantasic really. If you are interested in a trip to Dominica see our not for profit blog havecarryonwilltravel.com. The waitress was very pleasent would recommend the place just on her work. The burger I ordered was excellent. The price was about what you would pay for meal at any similar restaurant in Roseau. There is a 10% service charge but it is included in the price shown on the menu. Would have no problem returning for a meal in the future.

We stayed at Castle Comfort in May 2017 and can't say enough good things about this hotel. From the arranged pickup from the airport upon our arrival - until the arranged drop off to the airport - they pampered and spoiled us daily. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and always willing to help you. I am sorry that I can not remember names very well but the staff works hard and very long hours to accommodate all the guests. The ladies in the front office were always polite and helpful and made getting a rental car very easy. We stayed in Room 10 which is on the 3rd floor near the breakfast area with a great view of the water. The room was clean with plenty of space and the maid service came daily. Plenty of hot water no matter what time of day. The food at the hotel is very good. They usually have daily lunch and dinner specials and then a regular menu that you can choose from as well. We tried different things everyday and were never disappointed. Main part of Roseau is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel with lots of little stores on the way. They have a downtown market area that sets up everyday with lots of fruit stands. There are several grocery stores located nearby as well which made it easy to get Rum and other necessities. If you do not want to walk to town you can grab a taxi which charged us $10 us to go back to the hotel (it was raining that day). We used the dive shop located at the hotel (Dive Dominica) and they were great as well. The shore diving in front of the hotel is awesome - so when we were done with the morning dives we were sure to do an afternoon / dusk dive at the hotel to finish up our day. Thanks again to all the hardworking staff at this hotel - you made our vacation great and we really appreciate it.

Room Tip: Room 10 on the 3rd floor has a great view

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at Castle Comfort for a week of diving and hiking. The staff at the front desk was very helpful in arranging tours for us. The restaurant has a small menu; however, they did offer specials in addition to their standard menu on some days. We did explore other options for dining at other area hotels and decided that we liked the restaurant at Castle Comfort Lodge the best, both for selection and price. We had room #8 on the 2nd floor, adjacent to the breakfast area, with an ocean view and a sunny balcony for drying out dive gear.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the ocean to avoid street noise.
