This bar became the prime anchoring spot during our brief stay in Camagüey. Drinks are moderately prized and a chat with the locals is always enjoyable. Only the bathroom could be better serviced. It is a pity there are no tables outside, but still, with the open windows on two sides there is a steady breeze to cool you down...

A basic, pretty local, bar with monosyllabic - but friendly enough - service. Serves beer and.... Well, just beer really - as the 'fancy' drinks (margarita) that we ordered were a bit beyond the ingredients they had on hand. Nice view on to the square, and about as authentic as you can get.

Decor is a bit wierd, and a doodle of Hunter S Thompson adorns the wall.

Great spot to kick off a fun evening in Camaguey! They mix a mean mojito and will happily add an extra shot of rum!

Tiny little bar on the NE corner of Martí and Independencia at the Parque Agramonte, it's full of guy hustlers, a real sausage party, and some tourists but not many, it's a little scary for them. However, regardless of the packed masses of young studs waiting for the rich turista lady who will be their ticket to a life of ease forever after, the Cambio is a safe place to have a drink or a cold beer and let the locals practice their best English lines on you. Because it has open wall colonnades on both sides of the corner, there is usually a breeze and the decor is rather unique, even Avant-Garde by Cuban standards including curious pieces by local artists. It looks rough from the outside and the groups of guys protruding from every opening like grape clusters are not encouraging to many turistas and that's a good thing, it's very, very local and a great place to sit and have a mojito. There is a bici-taxi stand right outside and friendly cops are never too far away.

This is one of the best bars in the city in terms of decor. It was designed by renowned Cuban artists. The service is great and you can get the standard Cuban drinks (Bucanero and Cristal lagers, cocktails- mojitos are great). Sometimes there are not many people around when the city is quiet but overall a must visit in this city.
