I am reluctantly writing this review because this was my perfectly little kept secret.
No line whatsoever, great authentic cuban food, and ridiculously low prices.
This restaurant is two blocks from Parque Agramonte and has the maximum 12 tables that the Cuban Government allows these privately owned restaurants known as Paladars.
I have been here more than 20 times and i have never had a bad meal.
The owners even know me by face these days and always welcome me with a warm smile.
Service is pretty good, attentive and the meals are very tasty.
Where else in the world can you get Lobster ( langosta) for $5!!! and the best thing about it... its really good!!
I have also had shrimp (camarrones)
Chicken Soup (sopa de pollo) which is huge and could actually be a main course seeing that it is accompanied with a gigantic Chicken leg within the soup itself.
All the chicken and pork dishes are excellent as well.
The drinks are pretty good.. Pina coladas are top notch.
My only small concern is that it tends to get hot during the Summer time but the owners have just recently installed air conditioners replacing the fans so hopefully the heat will be a thing of the past.
Looking forward to my next visit.
