Just back from a great 2 weeks at Little Arches. Everything was what we were looking for in an hotel and would definitely recommend it to those looking for a relaxing holiday in an hotel that just hits the spots with its customer service and surroundings.
Barbados: Loved it. people friendly, felt safe, walked anywhere without being constantly badgered. Took public transport almost every day and loved the atmosphere on the buses and mini vans. Weather was perfect. Probably rained every day but, apart from one day, the longest would have been 5 minutes total in any 24 hours. Toured the island and saw most things. Don't miss Bottom Bay. Also really liked Sunday Gospel breakfast at the Crane. Only been to Jamaica before so can only compare it with there and it knocks spots off it.
Little Arches: 10 rooms, every one different, every one kept clean and maintained to the highest standards. We had pool side deluxe which we felt was the ideal room for us. Not very big but well furnished and the most comfortable bed we have had on any holiday. Patio doors opened onto pool deck and AC that worked well. Yes, pool is small but we knew that when we booked and if you think about it as square feet per guest using it, it was probably the biggest on the island. Liked the turn down service, well, not the turn down bit but the bit when they left the 2 nice chocolates. Used the complimentary suntan lotion when we were at the pool, and the availability of iced water and cold towels was a great touch. The highlight of the holiday for us was the complimentary catamaran trip to swim with the turtles, amazing.
The beach is 170 steps away, I counted them. You ask for 2 beds and they are there. It is quiet through the week and busy at weekends but we loved it when it was busy with Bajans. Two parts to it a wavy side and a lagoon side, ideal. loved it.
Staff were all very friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Don't want to single staff out as they were all lovely people and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. We've stayed in a few places around the world and this is the number one staff by far.
Only ate in Cafe Luna a couple of times but that's because we like to get out and try different places. The times we did eat there, the food was lovely, atmosphere amazing and price was good for a meal of that standard. We had breakfast as part of our deal and, once again, was the best breakfast experience we have encountered anywhere. Queuing up for cold, limp buffet breakfasts makes us shudder after experiencing the al a carte breakfast at LA. It was a little slow coming sometimes but so what? You are sitting in the morning sun, a glass of juice and a cup of coffee, watching the humming birds eat out of the yellow flowers and you want quick service, you must be round the bend.
Little Arches is not for everybody, but neither is any hotel. Yes pool is small, but we knew that. It's a bit out of the way if you want the high life but if you were staying in the Gap, after a couple of nights you would be wanting to jump in a taxi and see other night spots anyway. We walked into Oistens every night to either eat there (Surfer's cafe/fish fry) or catch a bus/taxi to somewhere else. Yes, a dozen planes go overhead every day but that 5 seconds of increased volume didn't bother us one iota.

We like to be realistic with our reviews and we think we have with this one. If you're looking for an hotel that's a little bit up market, a bit special, a bit different, a bit romantic. An hotel that looks after its clients, a place where you can relax in fantastic surroundings and go home feeling refreshed then book Little Arches. If these things aren't important to you, book somewhere else. It's simple.

We have just returned from an amazing weeks holiday in Barbados at little arches. The team provided the most excellent service and were proactive in ensuring we had the best time. Service, rooms, food and staff outstanding. Thoroughly recommend for those wanting quiet luxury delivered with a personal touch.

We stayed here for part of pour honeymoon in April, and we were not disappointed. the reviews on here had led us to have high expectations which were truly lived up to. We arrived to the warmest welcome and this friendliness from every single member of staff throughout the duration of our stay. They were incredibly helpful regarding the advising and booking of trips and dining reservations.

A highlight for us was certainly Cafe Luna. Breakfast was good and well varied (although I would agree with one reviewer on the orange juice, freshly squeezed would have been much better). We ate dinner here a few times, and wished we had even more. The food is amazing and the setting is beautiful. We ate at various restaurants in Barbados and this was by far our favourite. The staff here are again fantastic.

Our room was beautiful, an ocean view room. A bit of noise from the restaurant above, but negligible really. The turn down service was a lovely touch. We particularly wanted a smaller hotel and so The Little Arches really hit the spot, often we were the only people by the pool. The beach, i personally preferred not being right on the beach, and it is so quiet there, just stunning.

I have already recommended this hotel to many friends, and we will certainly be back, already planning our next trip. A big thank you to all at Little Arches, you made it a fantastic honeymoon location.

small and cozy, not what you think of when you think Barbados, yet this was a real find. tucked away, but, very close to a beautiful public beach. the only draw back for us was the noise on the stairs as it had a public restaurant and EVERYBODY had to pass our room to get to it! Great pool, lovely staff.

Well I must say that it was an enjoyable week at the Little Arches Hotel. During our stay there was a wedding and several honeymooners. There was love floating all over from the guests to the staff and employees. Wow, what a vacation. This was our first time in Barbados and we shall return. The hotel was beautiful. Old but very beautiful. The food was great and the service was excellent. We were in love when we got there and more in love when we left.

Thank you Little Arches for giving us a great vacation.
