This is a beautiful old church, steeped in history. Lots of plaques etc that give the history so no guide is needed when visiting. Lovely peaceful place, several old graves around that give some history of the area too. Lots of details, stained glass, beautiful old pipe organ. So nice to see this well preserved location that is still used for services.

When our cruise made a stop in Barbados we took a tour that incuded this church. We enjoyed our stop as it is a piece of history and very pretty. Grounds were not large but interesting...some really huge old trees that were magnificent! You do not need a lot of time here....parking lot was crowded with tour vehicles and quite uneven so be careful....We did enjoy the visit.

Really nice visit to a church from it's earliest English roots. Local docents passion is obvious, and the historical cemetery was a wonderful walk through the family histories. Make sure you hunt for the church's gargoyles!

Build in the early 1600's this beautiful church is worth seeing. The pipe organ is huge, and the beamed ceilings beautiful. I was surprised to find that the stained glass window behind the altar was donated to the church by Canada in 1924 as thanks for Barbados contribution to WW1. Would like to find out the history behind that as I find it unusual for Canada - and Expeditionary force to make such a nice donation to another Expeditionary force. There must have been a close link between our troops?
Beautiful setting - gorgeous woodwork - worth a visit.

This is a fine old church and significant in Barbados' history, but to me, our visit to it as part of an included tour on a Viking West Indies cruise, was simply not all that interesting. It is a pretty church, but is pretty small and while the architecture is certainly pleasing, there is nothing awe inspiring about it as there is, by contrast, in a European cathedral. It was pleasant to visit here, but to me only merits 3 stars because it is simply mildly interesting as opposed to impressive or magnificent. Nor is there anything especially pretty or interesting about the grounds. Will be posting YouTube videos soon showing both the church and grounds so people can see for themselves whether they want to visit or is worth their time. To us, it was barely worth our time and we wouldn't have minded if they had skipped it for something else.
